The official policy is "pics of unannounced construction projects are not to be taken". The security manager I talked with yesterday explained that it has to dp with trademarks and agreed it's beyond crazy.
OK, if its "official policy", how come
A. Its not on there current list of published policy & restrictions page.
B. Guest Services told me there is no policy that exists saying you cant take certain pictures??
& the trademark excuse makes no sense at all & sounds like a cop out from whoever said that.. So I guess since Harry Potteris "trademarked", were not allowed to take pictures of Hogwarts castle?
& how do you "trademark" a construction site, is that even possible???
So now whats REALLY bothering me is all of this conflicting information. If they dont want us to take certain pictures, they need to update there site, & put up signs all over the lagoon saying "Photography of Construction Prohibited", & tell guest services as well. That way, it would be undeniable & security would than have every right to stop someone for taking pictures. So guest services & there own website saying 1 thing & there own security saying another is just all round bad service & business & they need to make up there minds, as if Im truly breaking a rule, Id like to know so that I dont put up a fight & be dead wrong.
& even if they in the end decide to stop messing around & make it OFFICIAL that you cant take pictures, it would still be pointless & a waist of time, especially since that even aside from us, there are perhaps hundreds, maybe even thousands a day that walk through there with video cameras & are taking pictures & see them pop up on the internet or Youtube, so its not like there protecting anything that isnt already out by now.
