The changes have been confirmed by multiple outlets, IU included over the course of the past week/week and a half. It isn't something that has been apparently a slow burning process, and was almost overnight for most of it.

I hate to interject, but are you sure you just were noticing the dementors that have always been hanging around in the last room before the third dome? There's about a dozen of them that aren't lit up, and they've all got hands. I just ask cause I went on the ride the day after 4K projections were reported and noticed no change in the Chamber of Secrets.

Perhaps they adjusted lighting again? Or maybe the projectors are a lot brighter illuminating the scene

I think the brighter projections and time of day can greatly affect what you're able to see in that room. If you ride FJ at nighttime after your eyes have adjusted, you can see almost every one.

I'm not sure that's as big of an impact (or one at all) for most people. The amount of time the inside queue takes (even at a walk through) gives your eyes time to adjust (avg. 5 minutes).

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if Universal has sole rights to selling products like butterbeer and chocolate frogs? I saw Harry Potter and the Cursed Child last week, and I heard several people wondering why there was no butterbeer at the bar.

I was pretty surprised they weren’t selling Bertie Bott’s in their little concessions/candy store, as Jelly Belly supplies those.

They sell butterbeer at the London studio tour in the canteen. And in the gift shop there they have the jelly beans, chocolate frogs, and other packaged candy.

Just a warning though the Butterbeer at the London Studio Tour doesn't taste anywhere near as good as the Orlando stuff!

They went all out with the (exclusive!) merch and the theatre; butterbeer and wizarding candy seemed like a no brainer.

It was incredibly impressive. The plot doesn’t fit flawlessly into the canon of the original book series, but it’s a really great addition, with its own unique voice. It’s really great to see HP used to tell a family drama. Some incredible acting and the design was absolutely stunning. I had a blast!
