In regards to the Three Broomsticks patio.. I've only eaten inside, so as far as I remembered it was umbrellas rather than a full on canopy. The canopy is vaguely familiar, but here is a pic from the patio itself. Not sure "when" this was taken though.

One of the things I liked about the back patio of the Three Broomsticks was the view you got of Hogwarts. I hope the new awnings don't block it.

If the pics JPLA posted on the previous page is of the canopy for the patio, I'd say you'll most likely be disappointed. It looks to be completely covered. Also remember that unlike Orlando, you'll have the Ollivander's queue right next to the patio. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. I'll see if I can find anything out about it though.

I guess they're cute. If there was NO awning, we'd all complain about the sun and lack of awning lol

It's an awning.. I don't understand why people are freaking out.. I get that every body wants everything to be Harry Potter themed (as do I bc I'm such a big fan) but at the end of the day.. It's just something to block the sun while people eat and it's a nude color that doesn't distract guests from the rest of the land.. It's fine people.

Their shape to me is kind of reminiscent of the tents from Goblet of Fire, so that's kinda cool too.

I feel like the canopy for the patio here is just too high. In Orlando, its low and doesn't try to match the height of the building(s), which helps it be less noticeable. This though.... its like "HEY LOOK! LOOK OVER HERE!", which is kinda bad when people should be noticing the details of the building rather than the fact there is a huge canopy over the patio. *shrugs*

I know this is a MiceAge update, but it looks like the scaffolding came down for the astronomy tower and more scaffolding has come off more roofs.  Also look like they've finally made more progress on the Owlery
