If you get early entry make sure you get to the gate 30 mins before your EA time because they start letting you down to the land early

If your not doing the band games then you should have enough time to ride the ride once and see the rest of the land, I’d be in line for mummy right when the park officially opens, then transformers and finish the lower lot with Jurassic (jurassic normally gets lines the latest of the three lower lot rides)

In theory you should be able to ride all three lower lot rides in the first hour of the park opening

You can then head up stairs and either walk on secret life of pets or wait around 40 mins for Simpsons

Save water world, Kung fu panda and any other shoes until you ride everything you want and do the shows in the afternoon when lines are peaked

The Harry Potter lines will be long most the day but have almost no wait at nighttime the last hour or two before the park closes

Mummy, Jurassic, HP the forbidden Journey and Mario kart all have single rider, note that sometimes they randomly close single rider

lastly death eaters should be roaming around hogmeade at night time along with the castle projection show

Hope you have a great time

obviously rides can be closed, or having issues etc so it's not 1 to 1 but from my monthly trips these trends I've seen since SNW opened. Simpsons is the real wild card could be 40 mins when you get back up to upper lot...and could be longer but as long as you get to SNW early entry and are at Mummy around when the park opens you should be able to hit basically everything in one day

I'm planning to bring my family to USH for the first time (from out of state) on either Saturday Dec. 28th, Sunday 29th, Monday Dec. 30th or Tuesday. 31st (New Year's Eve). Normally I'd go to a theme park on a weekday when given the chance for lower crowds but Tuesday is New Year's Eve, and I don't know how that affects the park crowds. I know almost nothing about visiting USH (it's been decades) so I'd appreciate any advice as to which day we should go to have the best time. And do we need Express?

I'm hoping a great visit to USH sets me up to sell my family on an Orlando/Epic trip in a year. Thanks for any help!

Big thing to note but you would be not in the prospective bit of EVEs radar, as it’s on Dec. 31st @DrStarlander.

I’d definitely say to make sure you get the chance for both WaterWorld and the Studio Tour, and to see Grinchmas as you can. Those are the big ones I’d highlight given the relevancy of the season.

Definitely go Monday. The Three Broomsticks and Toadstool Cafe are both fantastic restaurants, and on the Lower Lot there’s a Mario stand that sells amazing drinks that are a combination of boba, soda and ice cream that I love very much.

Pretty much every ride is great, but as someone who goes at least once a month I recommend skipping Simpsons, Kung Fu Panda and Minions unless you have a ton of time to kill. They’re decent, but especially Simpsons is not worth the wait. Jurassic World, Mario Kart, Harry Potter, The Mummy and arguably Secret Life of Pets and Transformers are all must-dos.

If the lines are long, there are single-rider options for Jurassic, Mario and Harry Potter if your family is comfortable with that and they save tons of time. Also, I highly recommend Water World. Idk if you’ll have the time to hit that up, but it’s a USH classic and easily my favorite theme park show. Have fun!

Check the App for Character and show locations (and times for the shows but not characters)

If you've never seen Water World after dark, I'd see it once after dark if you have time

As others said, skip the rides in Florida unless you have times and the HP restaurant is the best in park, Toads is hit or miss on how long it will take to get food...so FYI.

I am by no means an expert, having only been to the park once last year.

That said, absolutely prioritize Secret Life of Pets, the Studio Tour, and WaterWorld (and Mario Kart if you don't want to wait for Epic Universe).
