I'm able to nap on Transformers, so I definitely will cry lol (although I've napped on Mummy too)

Thrill rides are soothing. I'm just weird.

Transformers leaving before Revenge of the Mummy would be hilarious.

Expansion = Good
Replacement = Bad

If it’s leaving, I’m still guessing Pokémon overlay like Japan.

If they were to go the route of replacing Transformers with Pokemon at USH, It would obviously not would be the exact same ride USJ is getting as Transformers is two levels and Spiderman is one, plus with MK being right next door it wouldn't make sense to have an almost identical ride literally right next to it

What I could see for a Pokemon overlay for USH's Transformers would be to upgrade to the next gen SCOOPs on USB's JW ride, ditch the 3D glasses, and add in some form of interactivity.

I totally might be wrong, but I think the rumor is that Pokémon is getting new ride vehicles. Maybe they will be akin to JW? The two levels is an interesting wrinkle I didn’t think of as well.

As for them being too much the same, I get that. I guess I’d say MK has been next door for a year, and I havent seen too much feedback. A similar IP like Pokémon may definitely draw more comparisons.

Except Spiderman & Transformers are literally the same ride, right down to the attacks & falling finale. You can literally quote Spiderman while riding Transformers (which my friends from Orlando did when they came to visit for HHN... we enjoyed it too much lol)

Since it is a screen-based ride, there is no reason to expect the ride film to be drastically different just because one is single level & the other is two. Most people don't even realize they're on an elevator (twice).

Most of us don't want to lose Transformers, but we also want Universal Monsters in the park. Hasbro has given us the perfect replacement 5th post down

It'd be a great exclusive to USH lol

Commented on another post about my 5 year old being able to finally ride transformers as his first "big kid" ride and it got me thinking.

This was his first true E ticket experience, yes I said E and you'll find out why. He's done other rides at the fair, local parks like Carowinds or Dollywood, but this was his first truly themed ride experience. In front of us we had a family from Brazil based upon what snippets of conversation I caught and some clothing logos. Behind us was another group speaking a language I didn't recognize. He was focused on the pre-ride videos asking questions, pressing the buttons on the que walls (even though they didn't do any thing). Nervous/high levels of anticipation before getting on the ride, just generally didn't know what he was getting into, but trusting me to get him through it.

As we rode I kept looking at him and he wasn't scared, he was enthralled by it all. About half way through he asked "Is this real?". He got off and it was clear he had just had the best 5 minutes ever. Kept asking to go again, wouldn't stop telling his mom about it, asked if his brother could go (sadly at 3 years old he was just too short), etc.

To see it for the first time through the eyes of a child, while simultaneously being surrounded by people who have literally traveled across continents to experience this ride, really put a new perspective on it all. We as theme park fans get caught up in the newest shiniest new ride tech, nit pick the tiniest theming detail, and generally hold things to a high standard. While forgetting to take a step back and look at these rides objectively, to my kid it was a whole new level of experience he didn't even know existed. To the group in front of us and behind us, it was worth travelling across continents to experience. While Transformers may be getting stale to some, its still got to be in the top 50 immersive rides on the planet, and here we are discussing replacing it.

I'm not saying we should forgive Transformers and other rides of all of their faults, its fair to hold these designers and companies to a high standard. I'm just saying that it never hurts to take a step back, and put things in a wider perspective. Pretend you're that 5 year old who's having his first theme park experience, If he's happy and excited then you should be too.

Good for them

I will not miss this ride when it goes, I am pretty confident what ever replaces it will be better

Glad we got it and its a fun enough ride but....yeah just not a classic to me like Jurassic World

If it was up to theme park hardcore fans, the parks would cycle out every attraction in 5 to 10years. That's not
going to happen, for obvious business reasons....nor is there a need to. Transformers is fine. It's a good attraction.

Unless its Disneyland? Because what Disneyland fan ever is happen in getting ride of old rides...people are upset with the just good Monsters Inc ride leaving

I don't agree, most people only want fine attractions to be replaced but who is asking for Star Wars ROTR or Mickey and Minnies to be replaced? (rides that have opened about 5 years ago) Who is asking for Pirates, HM, Big Thunder etc to leave?

Transformers is fine but I have zero passion behind it and if it was gone tomorrow what ever attraction replaced it would be as good if not better, I would assume because this was built during Universal most boring period the all screens rides. DE, the simpsons ride also for me are just not classic's and could be gone without me caring

Panda should change but I'm fine with the theater staying Universal uses it pretty well now that we have fan fest

Once again: You realize the world does not revolve around you and your preferences, right? Your opinions aren't automatically more valuable than anyone else's? We've seen this rhetoric from you time, and time, and time, and time, and time again...

Transformers is a quality attraction! It's really, really good! It's reasonably popular! The general public likes it! You have no idea if the replacement would be "as good if not better!"

Transformers was my first "Modern" dark ride in the more traditional sense. I lived out in the sticks for most of my life, and had family that often isolated and left me behind while going to do more of the new hotness.

There is an undeniable and ernest feeling when it comes to Transformers from the perspective of those who don't get to experience attractions like that as often. And for audiences who are getting into theme parks new (especially if they are able to finally hit that mark of being able to experience it), it shouldn't be surprising to see how we now have a generation of people who loved and adored the experience.

That isn't to say there aren't better rides like it, especially within USH nowadays, but I do think Transformers hits a really great chord in accessibility and engagement that makes it worthwhile to stick around for the park.
