What are you wanting to see improved?
A more substantial One Piece presence (which we're getting)
Expansion of the Hill Valley experience (which we're not exactly getting, but which will hopefully return when the sets are free in a different year)
Dubbed version of the Dreamworks Theater show (we'll see)
More interesting/technically complex version of the second maze (we'll see what they do the Forbidden Forest experience)
For me, It will really depend on how well the headliners (D&D, Scoob, Forbidden Forest, One Piece show) compare to last year's headliners (D&D, Star Trek, Hill Valley). I'd also love a surprise in the next few weeks (BTTF the Ride?), but I'm not pinning my hopes on that.
I do really enjoy this event though, and I'm planning on attending annually should it continue. Consequently, I wouldn't mind if this year's event underwhelmed compared to last year, especially given the myriad last minute changes that likely impacted the offerings (Courthouse Square being occupied, IP falling through for second maze, etc).
I will say I do hope they fully utilize and solidify the venues for next year once F&F is done. An event with two "mazes" on the Upper Lot (Walking Dead Building, Forbidden Forest), two "mazes" on the Lower Lot (Stage 29 + Backlot) + two shows (WaterWorld + Dreamworks Theater) would be hard to complain about. They should certainly do more with the projection mapping in the Dreamworks Theater. The animation on those annual anime shows must be cheaper than whatever DreamWorks would produce.
