Where the hell was the KPop Demon Hunters representation?, were Universal and Netflix unable to compete a deal to bring the movie to life at this event (since Disney “unless D’Amaro wants to see the film licensed for WDW in a similar fashion to how they’re incorporating Bluey (another popular non-Disney IP) to the parks”, will never touch this movie even with a 39 and a half long pole)

What? Who promised KPop Demon Hunters representation?

II was in the park before the event, had EA and Express and could not manage to get everything done

The issues for me started at the Scooby Doo and the Monsters attraction, great idea but just too many people at the clue area's was hard to get a look at the clues, let alone talk to most the characters once the third tram dropped off. I got food ASAP and saw the line was insane later. The sets are amazing to walk through and its cool to see the monsters there but the way you try to solve the mystery is I think just not working because of how many people are i the area
The Reveal show is fun and I would stand back so you can see more of it, then there was a 5-10 min wait for the next tram, HHN the next tram is just there to pick you up and think they should try this for this attraction as well
After about 2 hours with the tram rides, got back and used express on HP took 30 mins and got lucky my first go and could mostly see everything but on my second run, I swear to you I was so far back I could not hear any of the story and if I did not do it before would have no idea whats going on. The HP attraction right now is dammed if you do and dammed if you dont, if you let too many people in some get a bad experience but then the line gets insane. Its amazing what they did with this tiny space but because HP, One Piece, and Scooby Doo are the main things people are going to its hard to experience some of the offering correctly
The One Piece show is my highlight this year, its funny, creative and just well done. Props to USH for making another amazing show, no Idea why we only have one big show in the park when clearly they have talented team that is more then up for the challenge of making amazing entertainment.
Waited in line for the One Piece characters for an hour then they were going on a 30-40 min break because of the show, no one warned us about this and just told us when it happened. To remember everyone One Piece had 3 meet and greets last year, except the last 90 mins when they had all of them in one line. So because last year with Wicked we had 4 meet and greets and this year we have 2, the lines for these are just not moving that quickly
The One Piece food line was a joke all night, good for them but yeah making a guest spend 60-90 mins to get food when the events hours were cut short and many attractions close at 11:30 or midnight. Im not saying you can't do it all but there is like a proper order here to do everything when even HHN allows for you to do some mixing and matching to see everything in one night (at hollywood at least)

Didn't see the Yoshi's because the One Piece line took up so much time, second round of D&D was fun because there were less people. Jurassic I didn't see much but the actors are amazing.
End with HP the second time about 15+ mins with express at the end of the night and could not see or hear much so.....think I was better off at D&D or Sailor Moon

Anyway, I hope people who went had a fun time and I hope they work out some issues this event seems to be having, I know last year wasn't perfect but felt more manageable and either too many people are being let in, the IPs that are hot are too hot and some offering are just not drawing people to them or there is just not a lot to do. The Plaza and french street are empty and could have had something int he plaza even meet and greets for other animes, or a Resident Evil fan zone, or another fan zone or live music and some photo ops and french street could have had Wicked but area's of the park are just empty while others have too many people.

So my first thoughts on the event
(also the TM's and cast for these attractions are amazing and doing everything they can to make the night amazing, I appreciate them all giving there best)

Thanks for the writeup. Sounds like there's some major growing pains here. I anticipated these issues with Potter and am a little shocked they didn't think that through. The Jurassic World replacement was never going to be a real draw.

I’m going to be going towards the end of the event’s run. Hopefully most of the issues should be ironed out by then

You might be right but I really think location also plays a role, if Jurassic was in the plaza, I would assume it would be drawing in more people

I was talking to someone and they brought up that the lower lot is mostly repeats and an IP already in the normal theme park vs upstairs you have One One, Sailor Moon, Monsters and HP (yes yes this is also normally in the park but HP has a hugeeee fan base) but most of the "new" stuff is upstairs

So it would be like having an HHN and there are 3 repeats in the lower lot vs 5 houses up stairs with new things to see as well might be a factor.

Are any of the Fan Fest food offerings available during regular park hours? Like the One Piece food? Or does that stay closed until the event starts?

One Piece looked close when I got to the park at like 4:30 PM

Would be smart for them to just be open all day and get the crowds to lighten later on

Exactly. There's very little reason to venture to the Lower Lot if you went last year. Dungeons and Dragons is largely the same minus a few tweaks, and the Yoshi Festival only adds a few new colors. The Jurassic World experience is a thrown together placeholder, and I think the average guest doesn't view it as an actual draw.

I do want to say D&D is amazing attraction. Just sadly the IP seems to be holding it back

I bet if it was the same thing but you called it Elder Scrolls or Lord of the rings it would draw in much more people because I think its well done but yes, its a repeat mostly

Yeah, I think this would be a smart play to spread out the demand. Or at least start serving at 2pm as to encourage 2pm ticket sales for the event.

I'll be there tomorrow myself but only with the Early Entry ticket so if they do change it, I'll miss out on it either way! :sob: Though it would certainly be useful knowledge for anyone else going afterwards!

When I heard they weren't open during the day, I kinda figured this because it was night one and didn't want to launch the food before the event actually started. If they are closed again today, I'll be surprised.

Sounds like you got the unlimited Express option. Besides being able to do HP more than once, doesn't seem like unlimited is worth the upgrade over regular.

Does anyone have a clearly stated guide to when the different offerings close? I've been trying to follow along in the app but it seems rather chaotic after 11. I remember it was a pain last year, too.

I’d say not

Unless you want to do HP twice, you just don’t have time to use it like at HHN

Where express unlimited is amazing if your most hitting the houses

Just finished editing my review of last night. I was able to get everything done despite a couple of snafus!

It was open today. I got in around 2PM and was able to get food.

Tried the seafood platter, but I missed that it's spicy. Was too spicy for me to finish. X.X

Thanks for this info! I upgraded to the 2pm ticket for tomorrow after hearing this. Having that extra 4 hours to jump on any potential exclusive eats before the event starts is endlessly helpful, hah.

They start boarding for Scooby-Doo x Monsters at 7, a half hour before the event opens. Was just told this by a TM
