From @HydraGen2299, flyers are being given now to those who park on property too. Seems it was a coordinated big push day.

I'm so hyped from that announcement that I ALMOST wore my OnePiece Roronoa Zoro shirt tonight ....but Lost Boys David shirt won this round.

If they announced Resident Evil too, I'll probably cry. Or even DOOM, although Universal might not want to open that Portal to Hell after their film attempt :eyes:

At this point, let me see that food, merch, & popcorn bucket line-up so my bank account can feel threatened

Well damn, I don't know if it's because of the site upgrade but it's been a while since I saw some updates on here, and as I catch up, got some pieces to say:

Rumor or not, Pokémon seems like a safe bet if they do another IP connected to Nintendo.

That said, my pie in the sky pick is Splatoon. I just think it'd be a hit with merch and the festive vibes the games can easily tap into when it comes to Splatfests. Might be more likely if they do it in a future year though.

One Piece is coming to Universal Fan Fest Nights.

I guess you could say...

THE ONE PIECE IS REAAAAAAAALLLLLL

I get the feeling this might be all the anime we get though, which makes me hope they consider JoJo's for a future year so we can potentially get that 4D Show in the US. Helps that both OP and JJK have previously appeared at USJ, so I'd say anything anime that previously appeared at USJ is fair game for FFN.

Side note, with how this confirms we can get meetable characters for this event, that's another thing that could mesh well with Splatoon.

I'm still hoping for another Nintendo IP, but I'm fully braced for something other than it. I wonder if one from Nintendo and one from another company might be possible.

As a big Splatoon fan myself, I would love to see it at the event, but I don't think there's a very good chance of it happening. While Splatoon's popularity has continued to grow in Japan, I feel like it's popularity has shrunken domestically in the years since Splatoon 2 released.

While it still has a very loyal niche following in America, Splatoon 3 fell pretty well short of the sales of the second game, and anecdotally, I just don't see people talking about it outside of its online community anymore. If another Nintendo IP is featured, I just can't imagine it would be Splatoon over other options, especially since it's never been featured at USJ for a special event so far.

That's fair. Kind of a bummer though, but I also wonder if it can be chalked up to releasing later into the Switch's lifespan. I don't think it means it was a failure, but as I said, I'm not counting on it for the inaugural FFN at least. It'd make for a nice future curveball though.

The JJK 4D film was in japanese so they are probably going to use Crunchyroll team to get it translated with the actual english dub VA.

Jojo is like the one anime I fell in love with (classic rock is my weak point) but is it still relevant to the GP?

Legitimately curious

I'd assume that will be the case for One Piece too--considering the nature of that show though I wonder what exactly would be the scale they'd go at (especially for an inaugural year).

VIZ actually just announced that Steel Ball Run is gonna begin in 2025 for manga translation, so there is an audience for it.

Was hoping to hear a little more details here. Oh well.

Sounds like this will be a walk thru experience with Star Trek.

From @ethanuniversal via convos at those at LACC--Fan Fest Nights will have each IP as part of it's specific area. Food, merchandising, experiences and photo ops are separate from each other.

From what I am understanding thanks to Ethan's comments--think of it similar to how HHN has Dia De Los Muertos as a core "section" of HHN, where you have the Plaza party area, the house in Parisian, and the scarezone in French Street.

If this is the whole event, apart from the DWT or WW overlays….respectfully this is not worth a separate ticketed event.

It’s to be expected the more IPs get announced. A wide audience, but shallow depth.

Not yet, just that it is "separately ticketed"

But considering Disneyland charges roughly $130+ for their 4hr "After Dark" themed events which consist of ONLY photo-ops, food, minimal entertainment, i wouldn't expect much different from Universal

After 2 chances with "Star Wars Nite", i can say it wasn't "worth it" (other than jumping on popular rides with little to no waits).

Considering there are so many niches and IPs spread out throughout the two weeks, I doubt they charge more than $100 a night for these. They dont even charge non peak HHN nights at $100+

IMO, anything over $40 for an event like this ($50 max) would be kind of ridiculous.
