I wonder if they'd be willing to remove the facade they put up over the original for this event

That's what I've been hoping for, otherwise it's not gonna have the same impact or vibe

At this point, I'm not expecting them to unearth the original from it's Ghost Whisperer prison

A lot of merch seems to have already arrived. I may pop in tomorrow to take a quick look myself.

If i remember correctly, TM preview is the 22nd or 23rd

I might venture up to Citywalk on Thursday to see what merch is out.
(Although I'd rather wander down to KTown to spend money i don't have)

OC Register among other media outlets have had the ability to see what is coming to Fan Fest Nights, with special previews going into the experiences of Star Trek: Red Alert & Dungeons + Dragons: Secrets of Waterdeep.

Both experiences will be 10-12 minutes long, and in both case, will take 2 minutes approximately for six rooms.

So at best 20 people with 6 groups at once kinda. So 120ish people every 12 mins. So times 5 thats an hour so around 600 people an hour.

And both attractions have one version right like a house? is 600 people an hour going to mean these lines are huge?

I just look up Dream works theater holds about 240 people and that show will be 3 times a hour on average 720

I really am wondering how this is all going to work still, like Wicked

Is the Wicked meet area bigger enough to hold all the people that will want to meet those characters or is the photo ops near the front not where they are meeting?

How will the cosplay contest work? Is there live music in the plaza? Will Dogman or any other rare characters be coming out? If so when will USH release the info or will it be just the day of having to bug TMS and finding stuff out via twitter by people stumbling upon stuff?

Anyway I'll be there first night and staying all night so here we are but hoping we can get more answers before the event

After reading those articles for both walk-through attraction offerings, i think I'm somehow even more underwhelmed.

At this point, it feels like a one night only event. My only interest for going is the Jujutsu Kaisen attraction & OnePiece photo-op (+Yoshi & Wicked photo-ops).

As for D&D, the disappearing walls made me think of Poseidon's Fury transportation room effect (before it only became a finale effect).

What were you expecting? To me this sounds about where I thought it would be...you walk into a room something happens and you move on

Also I think most fans will need just one night but for me I need more, getting a picture with even all the one piece characters is going to be hard unless they all come out at the same time and even then if they have lines you might get cut off before seeing them all
Hill Valleys area should have many areas each with different characters acting out part of the movie...so you can go to that I assume many times and still not have seen it all

This event kinda feels like you get from depending on your efforts and time

Sure can you "see" it all in one night but if you get a photo with all characters and do all the attractions made for this event in one night then good for you but even with EA with express and staying to 2 AM I think its going to be hard for me to do it all

I'm not complaining but just pointing out, we also don't know how these lines are going to work so on paper it might sound easy but what if the BTTF fills up and they have to slow the line down before letting more people come into the area? What if too many guests are trying to do Star trek or D&D and it takes 2 hours just to get those done...now you have to rush to Nintendo before it closes early find the eggs and meet the yoshi's before heading back and doing BTTF....then you still have JJK movie, the one piece characters, eating food and checking out the plaza for "live music???" and the fan contests
I think the event sounds great and as someone who is now into all the IPS its great but sure its easier if you skip stuff but I now enjoy JJK and even started the new Star Trek show so want to see it all

If i can do everything at HHN in one night without express, I can do all that this event offers with much less effort.

You literally just described a basic attraction in the most simplified way.

Expecting? That's been the problem with this event from the start. They've been very vague up until recently. So expectations will remain "low" since it is new.

From this video is sounds like you work with characters and guests to get to the next room and its not always room A to Room B...so might even be a little different each time

I'm just asking because I just excepted really nice sets you walk though that make you feel inside these worlds and have characters that interact with you. What did you think this was going to be?

See I'm the opposite, this sounds like the fun sort of immersive theater I enjoy doing in NYC. Moving from room to room in a show is a lot like Then She Fell and BTTF sounds like it could be a promenade sort of immersive performance like a masked punchdrunk show. I think there could be some extreme repeatability in these experiences, more so than HHN.

Agreed

I will say it sounds good but hope USH does a test run and shows off more

I dont know why but from Reddit and people I know...many seem to be very much not into paying for this event

I just went to 90s night and just the upper lot blows that out of the water...like these are are real once in a life time kinda things you can only do at the event and its only 70 bucks compared to the 170 for a Disneyland event like SW night and its mostly just meet and greets and fan stuff like the lightsaber meet up

The more I see and hear about this event, the more I’m looking forward to it. All 3 of the main experiences sound fun. Also, I’m very curious about the Yoshi Egg Hunt.
