If only there was a giant unused (most of the time) restaurant that previously served Mexican cuisine at USF...

I was sad that I missed out on going to La Bamba when it opened up temporarily. The menu looked good!

As far as USF goes, I guess Richter Burger could be next up for a refresh?

Richter's is in a weird spot, similar to Fast Food Boulevard, where Universal might wait to address it until Furious is replaced to tie in with whatever they do there.

I think Pizza Moon, has upped the pizza game and I can see Louie's retrofitted to mimic the quality of it. The décor also needs a major refresh, so likely this is their next point of emphasis?

At IOA, I think Marvel QSRs (Cafe 4 & Captain America) are hopefully the next ones to get modified.

I thought the same for Richter's - may just be in a holding pattern at the moment! But changing Louie's over to Pizza Moon quality would be a great move (as long as they keep the garlic knots).

As far as IOA - I think nearly every location in the park could be refreshed aside from Circus McGurkus and Three Broomsticks.

(maaaybe Thunder Falls Terrace, as long as the pork nachos stay)

Agree on IOA, I think every QSR sans the two you messaged need to be adjusted. Thunder Falls needs to simplify its menu to just rice bowls and operate it to park close.

Everything else in Jurassic Park, Marvel, Toon Lagoon need a massive revamp

I definitely think Thunder Falls could function well as a "bowls" kind of place - like Spit Fyre Grill and Sa'tuli Canteen.

(and nachos)

Pretty substantial.

Removed
  • Chicken Stingers
  • Potato & Onion Webb (including the burger)
  • Guinness 3 Cheese Dip
  • Potato & Leek Soup
  • Harvest Salad

New
  • Dublin Lawyer - lobster and shrimp sauteed with braised leeks, potatoes, roasted garlic, shallots, Irish whiskey cream sauce, toasted sourdough bread
  • Red Dragon Bacon Cheeseburger - half pound all beef burger with a fried pickle, red dragon cheddar cheese, bacon, red onion, roasted garlic aioli, lettuce, tomato, toasted bun, pub chips
  • Corned Beef and Cabbage - braised corned beef, cabbage, colcannon mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, mustard sauce
  • Beer Cheese Soup
  • Black and Tan o Rings - (appetizer) thick hand cut onions dipped in house made Harp Lager beer batter and fried crispy with Guinness aioli

Rebranded/Renamed
  • The Cobb Salad is now named "The Pub" Salad

The price for existing items stayed the same, however average entree price increased slightly since some of the newer options are slightly more expensive than previous menu items.

Hoping someone can confirm, but I also don't see the soda bread listed anywhere (previously listed as the bread for the chicken sandwiches, but no longer on the menu anywhere. Yes, I know it's been an "off the menu" item for years now)

No changes to drinks, kids meal or dessert.

This is great to hear! Richter's was the next big one for USF.

As of now.. is there really anywhere else in USF that needs it? May be time to move to IOA!

Agreed

Its funny years ago Disneyland food as just as bad now besides a few items like the Pizza Planet Pizza they outclass USH on everything and they charge about the same so would love them to update things outside of the HP menu which is fine just...cost so much I rarely eat there.

Minions Cafe is great across the board

I haven’t tried everything at Toadstool but the Mario burger and garlic knots are consistently great

HP has smaller portions and less flavor than it did even a year and a half ago, but is still pretty decent and the restaurant itself is world class

The “black box” (idk what we call it on here) retheme cafe is really great as Jaws currently. The fish and chips demolish the HP offering.

Really all that needs to be completely redone is Jurassic Cafe, everything in Springfield (which will be gone soon anyway), Mel’s could be a lot better, and the snack food.

The snacks are bizarrely inconsistent. Some days at some locations I’ll get the best theme park pretzel ever, other times I’ll get something that tastes like cardboard and is incredibly dry. They need to rework that and make all the stands and locations equal.

The desserts are fantastic and I have no complaints there. The Mario drinks both on the upper and lower lot are amazing, almost all the Harry Potter stuff is obviously great and the Felonious Float is my favorite theme park dessert of all time.

But USH as it stands has more than enough great food if you know where to go and what to avoid. It’s like a 7/10 food park. It could be better though
