These 'live entertainment areas' sound an awful lot like scare zones to me:

Grabbed tickets today. Anyone have a hotel that is nearby that they’ve vetted that’s clean and doesn’t have ridiculous fees? I’ve only been to Vegas one other time. We will literally just use the room for the one night.

I usually stay at the Flamingo. Fees are outrageous but so are most hotels in Vegas. But its clean.

You might look into the Days Inn. I don't think there is a resort fee.

the hampton inn on tropicana is a place i’ve stayed for work a couple times. no complaints, rates are good if there’s no football going on.

Unfortunately, Vegas hotels are notorious for resort fees. I'm planning on staying at Resorts World when the time comes, which is around $170 a night with fee. I'd try to find hotels along mid to North Strip, as it's closer to Meow Wolf

If you can get refundable rooms, you might get better deals later

I'm hearing Vegas is dead now....maybe the resorts will not let this affect them but they might have to drop prices later to draw people back in
