So what kind of merch do they actually have? Or is it still the normal studio store merch since the new one isn't open yet?

Cool, makes sense. It looks like they’re keeping it normal stuff and are waiting for the other store to make the full transition.
Definitely more on the way overnight by tomorrow too. They still have some empty cases in the middle. (Not all of them are plexiglass for registers.)Looks like my article is already outdated.
Old Universal Studios Store becomes Universal Legacy Store at CityWalk Orlando
Universal Orlando has converted the current, or old depending on how you look at it, Universal Studios Store into the Universal Legacy Store - focusing on the nostalgia and history of the Universal Orlando Resort since its opening in 1990. The conversion is still taking place while construction cwww.insideuniversal.net
They’ve already added merchandise from closed rides that they didn’t offer here before, like Back to the Future. So sort of across from the Studios Store and Film Vault currently. My guess is this store remains for park merchandise while the new USS is for Universal properties and movies (Illumination, Dreamworks, Monsters, etc).
One thing I love is they changed the music loop from IOA BG tracks to attraction scores, queue loop segments and other fun stuff from 90s attractions. Lots of Jaws queue loops, actual score arrangement for the Back to the Future ride and so on.
Saturday, in the park, I think it was the Fourth of July...One thing I love is they changed the music loop from IOA BG tracks to attraction scores, queue loop segments and other fun stuff from 90s attractions. Lots of Jaws queue loops, actual score arrangement for the Back to the Future ride and so on. I think it might be the first time they’ve changed the loop in that store since IOA opened (other than holiday music).
Never Heard The BTTF Breakdown Speil, can’t wait to make my purchase decisions with doc screaming!Definitely more on the way overnight by tomorrow too. They still have some empty cases in the middle. (Not all of them are plexiglass for registers.)

It’s still a store. So far most of it is the same merchandise as before, starting to focus more on attractions over movies though. Is the store officially selling things? Are you allowed inside? Or is it just a museum right now?
