My predictions:
Other than the 2022 announcement, this list is probably what we're getting.
Disney will just announce random things then cancel it three months later...... I kidI really hope this is big and bombastic and Disney announces more than they initially planned to at D23 as a result.
I think we will absolutely have something for 2022
I think there’s potential we don’t if they’re planning the park for 2023. Going to be a lot of construction to be done there so I could see 2022 being quiet or a city walk update.I think we will absolutely have something for 2022
Was anybody expecting an announcement this early?!
I don't think we're as far away from new park info as people assume. The park is being built in unincorporated Orange County, which has a different permitting and plan review process than the City of Orlando - everything is highly visible to the public (see the infrastructure plans filed back in October). When they start filing plans for the new park - which will probably be happening within the next 6 or so months - every theme park blog out there will be posting and dissecting them. If I were Universal I'd want to be the one officially announcing the new park, its name, and general scope, rather than letting the blogs do it via permits.
Universal Orlando just loves 'Thursday' for announcement/openings etc. It's their sweet spot.
It'll definitely be interesting to see how much they share. I'm really hoping they check off all the items @JungleSkip listed - that'd be a hell of an announcement event.
Me too. I feel like Bourne, JW, and FW are gonna happen. The other stuff? Who knows
There were VB permits a while agoI'd be shocked not to see Bourne. Jurassic World is up in the air for me. Fantastic Worlds is happening. Volcano Bay..... I don't think so. We haven't even seen permits for a expansion yet.
There were VB permits a while ago
I could be misremembering, but I could have sworn there were permits for a VB project sometime last year. @ParkRumors would remember better than meWait, really? My bad then.
