World Showcase and Future World were meant to be separate parks originally so that sort of explains that.

You guys want to get your mind blown.........What if the 3rd park is all about Nintendo/Video Games.

They can easily make a 200 acre park with those properties.

They could do a great sci-fi literature of fiction park. Before you yawn everyone, this would include LOTR so Tolkien, Melville, Verne, H. G. Wells, George Orwell, ... can anyone think of others that might fly? The only way it would have an audience is if three of the attractions were ground breaking and beyond the possible. Good luck with that! :)

If they do a Third gate, the only way I see it is Nintendo, Illumination IPS, other big IPs not touched yet by Universal, Original content, E.T.C..

That being said...lets hope they get the lot.

Paramount has the rights and to put it blunt..if they want to try to make Orlando park (which..it won't. They aren't even done with London and that's delayed to 2021) then Star Trek won't be a option.

Yeah, remember that it is a difficult biz to enter. Universal Studios Florida was laughable when it kind of opened. Part of the game is knowing when vendors are screwing up. The small ones must be treated like two year olds. More than that is an established relationship with the big vendors. Universal has that now... in some ways more than Disney. ;)

Bingo.

The fact that Universal/Comcast is going forward on trying to get parks for not just a second gate in the country of Japan on the island of Okinawa but having a park in the country of China, at Beijing, it causes people to realize that Universals trying to become a major power in the theme-park industry; and that causes some big things to occur. I have to think Universals been trying to get a third gate for Orlando, but it'd have to not only take time, but it would have to take a long while to get a location for it.

I do think a third gate could be very well likely by the end of 2025 or even earlier but its still going to be a while..it just matters on if they buy that entire plot or buying a different plot.

Universal still has Blizzard as a video game ally just saying....I wouldn't be surprised if they brought in Starcraft and Warcraft into the park dynamics.

Blizzard still needs to be proven before it does have a good chance to be in the parks. The games itself; even though they have a large fanbase, its nothing compared to Nintendo and the years that company has had to make content.

That being said; we need to watch response on Warcraft before we say it HAS to come.

Starcraft/Warcraft are huge not so much in the states but China/Japan/Korea. (Korea especially as nearly everyone plays). Warcraft is the highest grossing video game of all time and over 5.6 million pay to play it every month. World of Warcraft is currently the world's most-subscribed MMORPG and holds the Guiness World Record for the most popular MMORPG by subscribers. I'm pretty sure its proven...the only reason its not proven is because of the nerd reputation it has.

Also Comcast has all non theatrical rights to all Revolution Studios films including theme park (Hellboy, Saving Private Ryan, Peter Pan)

In the end I rather have 2 excellent parks then 4 where the good rides are sprinkled around those 4 and the rest is mediocre at best.
And Comcast is really at it plussing Simpsons, Spiderman and now Hulk. Replacing old and expensive to repair rides with new ones like Potter in Mythical and Jaws. Adding rides where never (or a long time) was noting like Hogwarts Castle, Simpsons Spinner, Transformer, the Hogwarts Express and the Raptor meet and greet.
Kong filling up an empty plot and F&F replacing a old show and ride to add popular ip's into the park. Avangers could be added behind the shot towers and I'm sure they are thinking about expanding Suess and replacing Mythical and Newspaper cartoon land.
What we have heard from Jimmy Fallon will at least add some more theming to the New York area and Nintendo will add enormous foot traffic to the almost dead Kidszone area. Hello Kitty will generate more traffic then Lucy and the list goes on.

Didn't really mean to mince words. While I agree the average is around 100 acres I was just trying to point out that a park could be built in much less or more space than expected. I'm sure Universal could come up with some very creative concepts to fill anything from 40-400 acres.
