Basically every twitter reply and reddit post about Epic is accompanied by “Does anyone know when single day tickets are on sale?” I do wonder how the 3-day sales are going

Also, do we actually know if a Super Bowl commercial is happening? Feels like people are just assuming there will be.

Who knows, the Bublé ad has the foundations of a Super Bowl commercial... paying a ridiculous amount to license a song and/or pay celebrities.

If I'm Universal, a ~$6-8M+ ad is not a wild investment for your multi-billion dollar investment lol

Not to mention this is pretty much the time that Super Bowl commercials are released nowadays, and this new ad just so happened to be released. I don't think that's a coincidence.

Makes sense, but if this turns out to be a Super Bowl commercial, it’s very bad at illustrating “come to our new theme park!”

This is actually a fantastic idea. But for the willing, there’s always a way to avoid a Yondr.

I feel like this would be a major liability and logistical issue. It's one thing if you do it while you're in a fixed building, but an entire park? I dunno.

Yeah. I've been to a lot of advance and test screenings of movies where they used these and it made sense for those. But for a whole theme park? It doesn't sound like a good idea

It would make more sense for the rides. We already know what the park itself looks like.

I can't stand this ticketing roll out, people need to know before booking a trip.

Perhaps Disney's quarterly report results had something to do with some of those somewhat altered remarks/expectations. There was a drop in attendance at WDW for the quarter. Of course, Disney blamed the one day shutdown for the hurricane, but that's kind of a convenient excuse for a whole quarter being down. That stuffs happened before and near term future bookings made up for it.

I had to use a Yondr pouch for a comedy show once - I cannot even begin to imagine it for a whole park.

I think there's zero chance lol

I got a great deal (Amex fine hotels and rewards) for Portofino in early Nov, but stressing me out we can’t buy tickets yet - so also holding off on flights. Ideally we want 2 days original parks, 2 days epic - will be the first Universal trip for my kids and just waiting to bust out all the vintage ET adventure hats we got over the years

It would not surprise me if interest/bookings for IOA and USF are not looking great and they’re holding on to see who they can pull in for the multi-day. I don’t really see another good explanation.

I bought the 3-day because I knew I wanted to be at EU at opening. I would not have purchased more than one day at IOA otherwise.

I think we'll get tickets relatively soon (probably in the next few days), but it is quite shocking to see such a limited number of options available at the moment.

With the amount of hotel rooms they need to fill to meet Comcast's expectations/investments, it's odd to see them delay additional ticket offerings.

I know Universal's status quo is to wait until the last minute, but we're nearing the 100 day mark now.

There's some serious competition in the travel/vacation space this year with Royal Caribbean and other Cruises offering some great packages. (There's an RCL ad that passively mocks the parks, specifically Disney).

Not sounding the alarm, it's just odd.
