What seemed to be a full dress rehearsal of the fireworks tonight (later, at 11 pm). Show ran about 12 minutes, very impressive even sans soundtrack.

And yes, it turns out my home office has an excellent view.

We’re not in the park today but the app is reporting that Minecart, Mario Kart and Werewolf are all closed today.

Mario Kart was having a rough day yesterday with frequent delays. We ended getting on it towards the end of the day and had to be evac’d after the ride shut down.

Minecart had a lot of issues too, got stuck on it twice in one run

Yeah and that was after being closed all day on Thursday too. We managed to get on it yesterday but almost gave up after a delay when we were in the last hallway before boarding.

Glad we got to ride Ministry last night, it’s opened with a four hour queue this morning. It’ll be interesting to see if the wait time drops in the last hour the park is open again today.

Edit - now 300 mins and it’s not even 10am.

Only a few days to go to get everything in good working order..... attractions/finished cleanliness/smooth operations.....I'm still amazed at how they put Sapphire together after seeing it as a mud pit days before grand opening....so I'm hoping the Universal 'Magic' works with Epic, on a larger scale. Good luck wishes to the team at Universal that put Epic together.

As someone who waited 270~ minutes to get on Hagrid's Motorbike back in 2019 within 2 weeks of it being open and thought that was WELL worth the wait - I only have one thought...

Same. We waited four hours for Hagrid opening weekend. I’m expecting that for all rides Thursday through Saturday. Will be pleasantly surprised if that’s not the case.

With how things are looking once the park opens, park capacity wise, you'll probably be pleasantly surprised.

Comparing monsters wait time to ministry right now is misleading, I was there yesterday and got on in the morning it’s running at extremely low capacity similar to when gringotts first opened. And loading is kind of a mess.

Did you line up for it first with the benefit of EPA? And how long did you wait compared to the approximated wait time?

Random questions:

I’m assuming the freestyle cups work in Epic. Do the popcorn buckets work as well for the cheaper refills?

Also, has anyone tried to use the annual passholder discount on the photo pass and use the pass at Epic? I wanted to ensure the pass worked before I paid for it.
