Could've been closer of course, but just watched the first Epic Universe NYE fireworks show over Grand Helios. Looked awesome, easily on a par with a WDW show (not something I've said about Universal previously). Like an MK show, saw shaped "smiley faces," "hearts" and sort of the planet Saturn, plus lots of huge starbursts. Couldn't hear the soundtrack, but big finale appeared at 12:08.

Maybe when, or after, regular day park tickets drop. Since those aren’t even available yet.

I want to be sure I didn't miss the wider ticket options becoming available.

Have there been any rumors about when ticketing options for non-passholders will be available? My mom is a passholder and we were supposed to go opening weekend. I got tickets, but she couldn’t secure tickets for opening week and she was hoping to go with me. So I was gonna see if I could try to get her some tickets that week.

Nothing any more specific than "before the park opens." Which could be tomorrow, or it could be May 21st.

I'm hoping it's much closer to the former.

I expect within in the next few months, and if Disney's free dining is anything to go by, I think they expect them to open up in Jan or Feb. Not for nothing, but the Super Bowl is Feb 9.

How did I not notice the names before!?!

But also, Isn’t it Dr Henry Frankenstein for the Universal Monsters lore? Victoria is a nod to the original book, but not Victor? And is Vlad meant to be the impaler, the inspiration for Dracula? Or is there a How to Train Your Dragon or potter character I am unaware of?

Universal has confirmed their original Frankenstein character in the land's history is Henry (matching the movies, not the novel). I'm sure Vlad is a cheeky Dracula reference.

It’s so strange that epic is actually here. In a way, I’m sad that the journey to epic universe is almost over. It’s been a wild ride and I’m gonna miss the very fun hype train and seeing everything come together. But I’m also no doubt happy to finally see it come to fruition.

It’s so strange that epic is actually here. In a way, I’m sad that the journey to epic universe is almost over. It’s been a wild ride and I’m gonna miss the very fun hype train and seeing everything come together. But I’m also no doubt happy to finally see it come to fruition.

That seems quite aggressive. PLENTY of work still to do in general guest areas along with presumed testing of shows,lighting etc.
