Agreed about the Dark Universe merch as well. It's a bit busy. And that's coming from me and I snatched up nearly one of everything at HHN last year with that really heckin busy punk skull patterned stuff lol
Wasn't blown away by anything in that first post. idk where that second post with the HTTYD stuff (the pic with the bags) came from, but that hoodie and the bags are all calling to me though. So cute! Switched to using my goofy lil loungefly bags instead of a purse and it's honestly the best lol such a simple joy having a fun bag all the time. and a great conversation starter! The number of conversations I've had over my Toothless bag lol

I'm not going to lie, I haven't felt at my most confident when talking about something called "Epic Universe" to other adults, haha. I feel like I'm straight out of a Chive post from 2012.

My mom thinks my Loungefly bags are a bit goofy and childish (she does think my chocolate frog one is cute though lol) and she doesn't get how I'm unbothered wearing them in public currently using my Lil Boo one from last year. The older I get, the less I care if people think I look goofy with theme park stuff lol here for a good time not a long time ammiright

I saw some of the other merch pics floating around on twitter and currently trying to decide if I'm going to splurge on a new Toothless backpack. I bought the OG one that's more grey (and has the weirdly hidden and hard-to-access front pocket), but now they've got one that's more true to his colors and looks to have a better front pocket. Ughhhh my wallet hurts already just thinking about it

I got radicalized when I bought so much merch as a CM and then eventually left. When I went back to the west coast and saw how much I needed to haul, I thought, “wait a second… I’m not going to wear any of this.”

Now I am choosy. It saves me money!!

How do you mean? Cause only one side running?

I think Unchained may still be missing an AA according to some reports, and the shows are still finding their footing. There’s probably a lot we just don’t know about how things are running, but sounds like everything is improving every day, which is what matters.

I'm not a big merch guy in general (outside of HHN), so it'll take something really special or unique for me to buy it. I'm HOPING something like that comes from Dark Universe.

I mostly get compliments when I wear my Toothless one. Usually in the form of, "Is that TOOTHLESS?! I love it!" lol

My husband and I mostly only get HHN merch, but I can be persuaded to pick up some other things if it's particularly cute. The chocolate frog tea set was an IMMEDIATE buy when they released that lol nothing in these previews hit quite as hard as that, but I tend to be less fiscally responsible when I actually go to the parks and touch the things lol

I could do without the cutesy/cuddly Monsters stuff (I get they want to have kid-friendly options, but there's plenty of that sort of thing in the Nintendo and HTTYD offerings), but it's good to see the merchandise lines will also include items featuring the traditional depictions of the Classic Monsters characters, not just the Dark Universe re-designs.
