Not sure what EPCOT's hub consist of but Epics is choke full of food and drinks. That alone should bring people to sit and relax.

Epcot's hub has Starbucks, Connections Eatery and the two Festival booths. Not surprisingly, people stick to the indoor seating area. It's also a major thoroughfare between major attractions.

Not saying it's a 1:1 scenario, but even with all the trees they planted it's a rough area to stand in for more than 10 minutes.

Sooo... I went to Epic today. I don't have much thoughts that aren't different than what everyone else is saying but holy s**t. I absolutely love this park. It's something truly special. Believe the hype!

Personally for me it's a tossup up between HTTYD and HP. Both are incredible.

Bro... all this talk about sightlines and I didn't even notice or think about them my entire visit. Not even once lol.

There should be, except if you plant trees they get in the way of parades and fireworks viewing and fall on guests in windy conditions. They have to make choices between shade and views and safety and it will never be a perfect situation.

I always think about the trees Magic Kingdom had-- beautiful shade trees in the Hub and even along Main Street. They were all removed so people could see the fireworks and projections and had more parade viewing space. As a result of the lack of shade the park sells more $5,6,7,8,10 drinks.

Which is why I don't think the parks should just depend on trees for shade. Every Orlando park should have designated indoor areas for people to "relax" and receive complimentary water. Just a nice indoor space for people to sit down and relax at. Put a bar if you need to subsidize the cost of it!

Thankfully, Universal has free water at the freestyle machines, but most tourists unfortunately don't know they can get water there.

They SHOULD be building more indoor attractions and even lands so it gives a break from the heat and the thunderstorms.

Hershey Park had these complimentary water refill stations throughout that operate with signage to clarify it was free (and that guests should take advantage of).

If Hershey can, UOR & WDW can certainly do it.

Universal typically has them near the restrooms. No idea about WDW but I'd be surprised if it wasn't similar.

And water bottle refill stations. And coke freestyle machines give out water. And you can request free water at kiosks (I’ve seen TMs proactively put out water before).

Yes, the Coke Freestyle machines have free water but people dont know that since UOR doesn't advertise that piece.

I haven't seen UOR proactively place free cups of water with ice like they do at WDW. Obviously anecdotal, but that's not a practice I've seen at UOR.

There is no shortage of freestyle machines, and bottle filler/water fountains seem to be all over the park as well.
