I'm wondering if this is for PR purposes in addition to employee morale. There's been quite a few days where IOA, USF, & WDW have
been super slow in the past 4 weeks, but Epics lines are still super long. PR purpose would be to make Epic look very successful. Kind of
like how those upstart football leagues gave away tons of free tickets to look crowded. During this past month Universal also took
down those stats that Thrill Data was able to tap into to get an idea how many tickets were sold. Pre sale numbers, before they were removed from the Universal site for the last three weeks of August were real low, but the park still ended up with long lines except for the August Sundays. ....
This might be a far fetched theory, but it would possibly explain why lines are still really really long. And at the same time they had huge hotel discounts for AP holders which I documented earlier.
