Only a few weeks ago, IATA reported that global passenger demand fell 2.2 percent year over year in May, marking a second consecutive monthly contraction. Domestic traffic declined 3.1 percent, while demand in the United States fell 1.9 percent and China's domestic market dropped 6.2 percent.
