..Yes....As we've said before, Disney had considered Orlando a mature market, so they felt no need to invest. They really read the tea leaves wrong, Potter woke them up from their slumber. Potter has been a really great happening for the theme park industry....and the Universal Creatives did a great job of putting all that together into a thematic lands, attractions, foods, merchandise, beverage package that reshaped theme park planning. Potter was the 'Bing Bang' culmination thought for theme parks.

So we’re all agreed that they’re going to close Gaston’s Tavern and turn it into The Snuggly Duckling so they can move the Gaston theme over to Villain’s Land, right?

The added twist can be it’s Gaston and Clayton’s Hunting Lodge where the two have entered into a “friendly” competition of mounting Disney’s famous heroic animals on the walls (Beast, Simba, Meeko, Kala, etc)

Heck go real dark and have a framed red loincloth on the wall labeled Man Cub (because Clayton would 100% go after the most dangerous game)

Sorry guys. We have to take the only good animatronic out of Ariel's Undersea Adventure.

(New Fantasyland animatronic refreshes do sound like good 'single and doubles' projects for the post-Villains Land slate)

I mean, the ONLY thing I have not really been able to find a one to one association with in the movies is a restaurant

What villain has a restaurant?

The closest I can think of (apart from Gaston’s Tavern) is the chef from The Little Mermaid and I guess Mr. Smee making food for Hook?

I guess if we REALLY stretch it we could have Facilier’z Palace; wherin Dr. Facilier has convinced Tiana to take his deal, but what she doesn’t realize is that by losing her soul, she loses the restaurant. Even this feels sort of like a cop out restaurant to me

If anyone else has ideas, I would LOVE to know them

I think they just do an original combined villains lair/ hangout type restaurant, they have a very light theme for the top of the world lounge at bay lake tower currently.

Or could even do a dungeon like we have been captured or something.

The rumored dining is a Hades and Pain/Panic variety show thing.

We can dream. I don’t understand why there isn’t a regular House of Mouse style restaurant/entertainment offer (but that’s another story), and I don’t think we’d get one for the villains.

I would rather have some kind of generic lair or dungeon where all villains are doing character dining (Cruella, Evil Queen, Jafar, Maleficent, Dr Facilier etc). If the rumours are true about it being a dinner and entertainment offer incorporating some kind of Hades host with a Panic and Pain floor show I think they’d be missing a trick to not having it where all villains roam. A character dining option would offer something that families can enjoy, even if little ones aren’t big enough for all the rides. It would also offer top tier interactions given the majority are face characters.

They could even just lift the Unfairly Ever After show and bulk it out a little in a restaurant setting, all the villains break through the glass and then out they roam while you’re eating etc.

I’m happy to see Hades and Pain and Panic get some love and recognition and it certainly could work as a restaurant concept, but why not use it as some kind of Laugh Floor style experience instead and keep the restaurant broader rather than zoning in on one IP.

My first thought to this is they are finally repurposing the plans for the Star Wars show restaurant.
