No they are not misinformed the security checkpoint is in the south garage and also the ticket booths are there that's why they have you walk to citywalk. Also there is only 1 way to get to Volcano Bay which is the dedicated bus only road. Unless your a cabana Bay guest then you can just walk in.

This is the test and adjust period. They will adjust.
How so? The infrastructure isn't there.

It could've been real simple. A resort loop that then drives into the VB bus loop with a dedicated dropoff for those resort guests who have to go through security at that point. Done deal.

Now, if im in the top spending category that Universal has- I have to use 3 methods of transportation and then go through security twice. Not to mention spend roughly an hour to get to or come back from VB.

It's stupid on so many levels because of who it affects. AP folk expect to be screwed- we're used to it. But top spending on-site deluxe guests that make UOR their destination? Poor taste.

For the deluxe guests all you have to do is get on the boat take it to city walk, get off and head to the south parking garage level 1 then head through security get on tram bus and you are at Volcano Bay as easy as that.

It's possible things have changed, but not too long ago the plan was to use the new road between Sapphire Falls and Royal Pacific to run busses from the other resorts, because that road connects to the tram loop.

Bag check can easily be done at the resort bus stop (like they do now at the boat docks) or even set up at the drop off specific for resort guests.

It isn't very easy... Imagine you're a family of 4 or five with little ones. Huge pain in the butt to walk to the boat, ride the boat, get off the boat, walk all the way to the south garage, go through security again, then get on another bus ride to the park.

I remember seeing photos of them testing regular UOR busses, not only the Volcano Bay ones.

Lol. "Easy as that" :saywhat:
You mean go through security, wait for the boat to come- that's minimum 10-15 mins (if you get on next boat, much longer). Ride boat to city walk- that's 10 mins. Walk to parking garage. That's another 8 mins. Go through security again and wait for VB bus- there another minimum 10-15 mins (if you get on next bus, much longer). Drive to VB- there's 10 mins.
So a minimum of 48 minutes and two security checks. But more realistically an hour. For deluxe guests. "Easy as that"? :bonk:
"Get on the bus at your resort" is "easy as that" and that's how it should be done.

That's how I thought it would go. The original plans had that road as a bus entrance and exit.

Bag check will only be at the entrance to the park unless you have to go through CityWalk.

They built an entire road from the south garage. The busses will follow that road and be able to loop around back into the garage with out ever interacting with street traffic except for the railroad crossing at the south garage.

How big are these "boats?" that go to City Walk? I could see these getting filled up pretty quickly. They really should have direct shuttle bus transportation to the park.
