For slips, I know the first time we went I was shocked at how slippery the wood stairs are while barefoot coming off the water coaster. Fotunatley, I always use I handrail while on stairs, but l also saw someone fall.
I had water shoes on and it was raining and I almost slipped on one of the bridges, but that seemed more like oil from lotion being separated up to the surface do to the rain.
I know people complain about all the steel and such on the fast river, but I was really impressed looking up at such an impressive structure.
We got up here today staying at CBBR. We hung at the lazy river at the hotel for a bit, but my daughter wanted to go to Volcano Bay. I really love what they have going here. When we visit Orlando, we will stay somewhere up here and we are FL Res AP holders. I can only afford paces to one place up here and Disney priced me out long ago.
But since CBBR opened, we have stayed on site for each trip and it is great how close and easy everything is. I mean, my wife stayed at the pool and I took my daughter to VB. This was at 8:10 PM when my daughter asked to go....we walked over and got in two tube rides and the racers....so three rides in 40 minutes wasn't bad at all.
Our plan is to spend the whole day there tomorrow. But, I don't know where all the hate comes from, I really think this is a big gain for the park. I'm not sure how OPs is doing, but when we rode honu, rafts were going down at a good pace, when we got on, we were actually held up until the light turned green, so they were doing good there, 'cept I imagine it kind of sucks that most of the rafts had two riders when it can accommodate 5....but it can't hold 4 anyway...it needs to be 2, 3, or 5....
