Tourists come to IOA for Harry Potter. They walk straight through the Lost Continent. As much as you all may love it, it's become a passage way to the Wizarding World. Totally gets ignored...

Speak for yourself. I as an Islands of Adventure fan love the LC and it's attractions are must sees on most of my trips.

Yes, adding attractions is great, but replacing not so much.

I would not miss the Arabian section much at all. Maybe the fountain, because I see kids enjoying it, but Sindbad is not a must-see in my book. It has some great stunts, but I just wouldn't miss it. The bazaar can leave now for all I care

Just please, please, please keep the Greek section. Poseidon in its heyday was unbelievable. Original storyline, hear my plea! Two grumpy old men throwing fireballs at each other, it's terrible. I almost want to say "It's over 9000!" under my breath. The CGI was better than the current live action. If PF had some new life, it'd go back to a must-see on my itenerary, and I might even see it twice.

And need I say, keep Mythos. Nothing, no restaurant in the entire Harry Potter universe, would I prefer to Mythos. I don't care about Great Hall, Leaky Cauldron, or any other possibility more than Mythos. Just, no.

I still would prefer the Greek part of LC to take over the Arabian area instead of WWOHP. But I understand how much money was made. I just think WWOHP is perfect as is. I think WWOHP can add little experiences that HP fans would enjoy (test-fly a broom, Hogwarts lectures, etc.) but no major E-tickets.

well when the marvel contact expires they should make that into transformer world, add another roller coaster to it also. They should use that theater for something that they never use anymore, and revamp popeye and doodly do ride. Add something crazy to jurassic park already, when the time is right expand wwohp into the greek section, imagine what they can do poseidon with a harry potter twist. Suess landing needs and adult ride already!

Transformers is no where near a large enough franchise to create an entire island around. In order to update or even replace Marvel which is many years away, you are going to need to use a larger franchise not directed by Michael Bay. If you thought there was an outcry when Kong closed imagine what happens when you close Spiderman. It better be an EPIC replacement.

IF and that is a BIIIIG IF Marvel gets replaced, it would probably go to a SciFi city. Remember all of the islands is based on literature, Transformers is not literature, they are toys first and foremost.

Why does everybody talk as if they actually know details about the marvel contract? I've yet to hear any facts beyond Disney not being able to use marvel in their Orlando parks and the universal contract being pretty much perpetual. Sci Fi city would suck compared to marvel island and would almost be impossible to sell to people as an upgrade.

After going to IOA yesterday I realized that it needs some refurbishing. What worked well when it opened is not as thrilling now. After spending hours in Wizarding World and then going to the other islands was a little bit depressing. It was hard after seeing the amazing detail in WW to go back to T.V. queue lines and cut-outs being the main detail in the streets. The entire park should get a little bit more attention to be brought up to reach Wizarding World standards, because now it's a shame to look at the park other than HP.

Little experiences can't be boasted. And personally, I think test flying a broom would be an E-Ticket, because it would be thrilling and possibly interactive. But your thinking as a fan of LC. I don't really care either way at this point, I love IoA as is and I wouldn't mind getting more Potter. I also love LC, and I haven't even eaten in Mythos. I just don't believe it can last very long with a dieing theme and people who don't get the references. But to each and his own, we shall see what will happen.

The whole Disney and Marvel thing isn't going to affect MSHI anytime soon, and IF that ever happens, PLEASE UNIVERSAL PLEASE! NO TRANSFORMERS! I don't want any of that Michael Bay bullcr*p coming to our parks.

Use common sense, Seuss landing, themed after Dr. Seuss's children stories like The Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham, having a Adult-type ride in there?

With all these crowds, IoA needs a great nighttime show on the lagoon and a new ride in JP! And to have all the existing attractions touched up.

I think IOA is superior to all the Disney parks and if not on par with Universal, although it isn't perfect they could always add more rides i.e. A new ride in JP, a darkride in TL.

Some new things Islands needs after my visit last sunday...

A show in the Toon Amphitheater. The park was packed and they really could've used the extra capacity; it's prime real estate and sticks out like a sore thumb.

Triceratops Encounter open permanently. See above for reasoning, though its shuttered-ness isn't quite as apparent... they need the capacity and it fleshes the amount of family & Jurassic Park offerings.

Some new skins on the dinos. Ultrasaur was not looking good, and both Stegs need work (especially the mama, there were tears in her skins.) More mist on the T-Rex approach as well, I can still see that Tiffany's stationary some time before we get close enough.

More of a divide between Jurassic Park & Potter. The transition from Potter to Jurassic Park is perfect, with the Hogsmeade trees transitioning to the Jungle foliage, and the Johns Williams music makes for a good music switch. But then after you pass through the gates, it's as if you're back in Potter, with the castle towering above you. Something has to be done here, even if it means a tunnel of sorts - the showbuilding sticks out like a sore thumb, and you can almost always fully view the Forbidden Journey greenhouse queue, complete with booming music.

A total ride-based revamp for Dudley. The exterior refurbishment was excellent, but the ride show is still absolutely awful. Robotics hardly moving, speakers dying or dead, the story incomprehensible, mechanics exposed... it's a mess.

Even more characters. There's been a lot more out lately, and I think that's great - so stoked to see Doctor Doom out near the Fearfall. Let's get Green Goblin out more, too, and maybe - just maybe - the Carnage costume from 2001? Wouldn't hurt to have more villains. Additionally, we need more Toon Lagoon characters - the Betty Boop is nice, but I'd rather have the non-face Popeye/Olive Oil/Bluto characters, and I never see Dudley Do Right anymore... I do see Bullwinkle on occasion, he should be out more. Seuss typically has Cat in the Hat, the Things, and Grinch out, but let's see Sam I Am, "Guy", and even Horton out, too. In Lost Continent, why not bring back Merlin? I realize Dueling Dragons and Merlinwood proper is gone, but there could easily still be a Merlin roaming around in the Arabian Bazaar near the Magic Shop. Hell, have the Sinbad characters come out after shows like the guys at Beatlejuice. Characters make awesome interaction and add to the "family" vibe. Bring back at the atmosphere villages from the Port of Entry, too - even if just in the morning when people are entering. It adds so much.

Return of missing animated elements all over the park. The "This One or That One" Doorbell critter from If I Ran the Zoo is missing. The vortex tunnel in Cat in the Hat is gone, too, replaced merely by projections, which is extremely WEAK. Many of the moving elements in Toon Lagoon no longer function either, such as the rocking Hagar ship. Let's get these things fixed, every little bit counts!

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things, but I'm trying to keep it realistic (demanding new rides at this point isn't really realistic.)

I think the big issues should be addressed before the little ones. I'd like to see a permanent show in Toon Lagoon (or a new ride in its place), something new in the Jurassic Park section, and a major refurb in the Seuss Landing Area.

Along with the Marvel characters roaming, a daily parade through Marvel would be nice. A lot of people complain about how short both height and length-wise Doom is, so, if possible, lengthen and heighten the launch/drop sequence. Add HD projections to Spider-Man. That's just Marvel Island.

Pretty much just bring back all of the little things that make IoA so special. I also have a few ride ideas if they ever were to do it, but I'm not going to go into detail:

Horton Hears a Who - Family water coaster, very gentle drops, splashes, and turns, while riding through the story of Horton, much like Cat in the Hat.

Peanuts' Splash Battle - To replace the TL theater (I would rather they add a good show there but they've had years with no result so). You pretty much pick Charlie's or Lucy's team and squirt the other team for points.

JP Lab Tour - This would require them shutting down the Discovery Center for a while and possibly the path outside it, so this one's unlikely to happen. You take the lab tour seen in the film with added scenes after the point where the film characters get off. Pretty much a "How Did They Do It."

Aviary/Jeep Safari - This one requires technology that doesn't exist, but I believe it could be developed. It's Kong 360 but the 3D screen in a full dome completely surrounding you and the vehicle, a JP Tour Jeep. There's two ride choices: You can take the herbivore tour, and rid eright into the peaceful plant-muchers' habitats, or you can take the carnivore tour, which takes you past the meat-eating dino exhibits, when everything goes wrong and the dinos escape, attacking you. The show building is covered by the aviary with animatronic pterosaurs.

There ride ideas are totally fantasy, and unlikely to happen, except in my dreams, although I do think they will do something with the empty JP land, if not this. However everything Fallow said and in addition the first part of my post really needs to be done. All the little details make IoA the most fantastic park around, trumped only by Disney Sea, and without them it just falls flat.

There's a school and a residential neighborhood right across the street, so there's no way they can gt permission to do a full-out fireworks show. :/ But I would be more than happy with something like World of Color at DCA based on all of the islands in turn or the new projection system at MK for Hogwarts.

That would be amazing. The lagoon is pretty beautiful and I'm sure they could come up with a pretty epic show surrounding all of the stories and characters of the islands.
