How big is the Simpsons area in Hollywood? Because I’ve been thinking that with all the Nintendo stuff coming to Orlando, Hollywood could get something of its own over us as a replacement. Namely a Hollywood version of LotR if Universal Great Britain actually gets that or would they also just get Pokémon?
Here is the thing, for now its pretty small........however if the Tram moves and they can use the Hill that the Simpsons ride is on that can change the game plan. but thats up in the air and since the ride wont have to close to 2028 then we wont know for a few years. I assume rumors will start picking up for this area either when F7F opens or a sometime in a year after since they will need to start working on a game plan before the ride closes (if it does)

I can’t see them keeping it if they’re in such a hurry to axe it 4 years early in Orlando due to not wanting to renew the contract.

Care to share?

Also is any of that stuff coming in between the Nintendo stuff or does it seem like Pokémon, Luigi, and Zelda are all next?
-Lord of the Rings has been long-rumored to be the 20-acre expansion on the right side of the park
-Creature ride in Monsters
-I believe Toon Lagoon theater is potentially being eyed for Waterworld..?
-Inevitable F&F replacement

Isn’t Lord of the Rings going to Britain and Universal apparently doesn’t want clones between there and Orlando?

I honestly forgot about the rest since the Nintendo stuff seems to have taken priority according to @Alicia’s video and how Luigi’s Mansion could be the first expansion. I wonder if it’s Nintendo pushing that timeline.

Toon Lagoon Theater getting axed for Water World!? That’s kinda shocking tbh.

They currently have bigger priorities (Simpsons and Lost Continent) to deal with. F&F isn't great, but it's still new.
Yeah, I'd imagine F&F makes it to 2030 tbh. For USF, 2024 takes care of Dreamworks Land, new parade, new nighttime show. 2027ish replaces Simpsons with Pokemon. And at some point prior to F&F, FFL really should be dealt with IMO. I'd rather replace the closed venue than the mediocre ride in terms of priorities.

In general I agree (and I LIKE F&F), but the charges against Diesel are serious enough that’s it a bad look to feature him so prominently in the park. The most likely scenario is that the ride gets shuttered and then just sits there, but that’s not a good option.

If one of those attractions goes down sometime after Pokémon opens, a brand-new attraction can open to ring in the new decade and celebrate the 40th anniversary of USF.

I'm fine with prioritizing things.

That post made it sound like it's not something that's anywhere in a medium-term plan. And I would contend they should absolutely have such a plan to (eventually) get rid of it.
I imagine they do, but that's a thing to worry about six/seven years from now. As long as it's not a maintenance nightmare or an IP problem they won't replace it in the short term.
