I was so concerned that I was the only person who thought this.

Could someone explain the hype of the chronos to me? Because, as far as I can tell, every single individual portal looks much nicer than the chronos. Maybe I'm just missing something and it's supposed to be like the IOA lighthouse?

I dig the kinetic energy that it brings, personally. I look forward to the "Which Park Icon?" debate when the time comes.

It's the park's icon. It'll be the first thing we see when we go. Being a huge gyroscope doesn't hurt. The design choice of the tower isn't phenomenal imo, but it does match the styling of Celestial Park.

I know I sound like a basic fan, I adore the Chronos. This entire park design is just beyond my dreams frankly.

I guess a big part of this park is kinetic energy, and this is very animated, while also showing off all the lands. I guess I'm just not a fan of the design

It’s the icon— like the lighthouse or the globe. You see it and you immediately recognize it as Epic. The kinetic motion and the lighting on it will cement that icon status.

I personally pictured it to be way more animated with multiple spirals, so when I actually saw the video I was kinda disappointed. Assuming it was operating correctly.

So are we thinking the sets are going to be like ROTR? Very open and lots to look around at? Up until now I thought it was like FJ but with rooms replacing the domed screens. Curious to see what y'all think?

HHN crowds are not the same as the average park guests.

Anyone expecting HHN-like scares in Dark Universe is going to be disappointed. That's not what the land is intending to replicate.

yeah I never said scares, but I wonder if dark universe will have any special events or any special characters walking around or any mini shows or just anything. ( even if it's just the workers in the area in different outfits) or special decorations for that month or something.

maybe they don't do anything at all. but I wonder what the plans are.

The open peripheral view as compared to the Forbidden Journey ride vehicle means it def needs to be more open. Which Uni is certainly capable of.

To echo others, it's a really nice icon/entry point for the park. The fact it actually does something and will have its own dynamic lighting package unlike the other parks is the cherry on top.

There's additional details here you can read but the Chronos will be more than just a pretty face as rumors indicate it will be involved with this transition from day to night:
The lights will swell, partnered with beautiful music, until it becomes a dance of light around the land — the plants, trees, buildings — everything will be involved in this transition. And once the ceremony is complete and the baton has been passed over to Luna, the park is lit for the evening.

The story behind the transformation is that Apollo, the god of the sun, takes care of the park during the day, but when dusk falls, it’s time to hand it over to Luna, who is in charge of the luminescence of the night. This transition between the two of them is what will create this nighttime spectacular!

Regarding the Chronos....once again the teal green color is bugging me. Seems like a rich dark green, blue or bronze would have been better and made the other elements "pop" more visually.
