Rumor on the street is the pilot director is Alex Timbers, who is a prolific Broadway directors (Moulin Rouge, Beetlejuice, HERE LIES LOVE). So I think this might have the juice.

So… how can I set a Disney+ show to automatically repeat several times a day?

Sabrina Carpenter is probably the best pick for a guest star that fits the mold of the original show (singer, actress, is "fun"), so I have high hopes for this.

I know people want long seasons again but 10 shows a year for me would be perfect then do holiday specials/star wars/marvel if its that popular

It's legitimately the perfect guest star. She is

A) at the current peak of her incredible relevance and popularity, especially among younger demographics that would otherwise not be interested in Muppets content.

B) separated enough from the Disney company to where this doesn't feel like naked, shameless cross-promotion.

C) goofy and irreverent enough to play along well with The Muppets.

This is unironically the biggest opportunity for The Muppets to jump back into relevance since 2011. It's Disney's to lose.

She was so good in her Netflix Christmas special. I don't think I'd seen her act before that but she has a wicked sense of humor and is a lil charmer. She'll kill with the Muppets.

In all this, I actually think Seth Rogan is the secret sauce. His humor and the delivery of everything is largely silly, but there’s an adult edge to the jokes. There’s typically layers to what he does that will work unbelievably well with the Muppets’ sensibilities… especially with the Muppet Show’s sensibilities.

I think this is bang on. Jason Segel is what made the Muppets movie work and I think we’ll see something similar, and likely even more effective, with Rogan.

Jason Segel understands sentimentality, which is ideal for a Muppet movie - especially one that traded so heavily (albeit effectively, in my opinion!) in nostalgia.

Seth Rogen understands madcap comedy, which is ideal for a Muppet TV show.
