The only scary element of Coven is when those hags come out of the huts. That actually got me good
Even though there aren't many scares in Fear Revealed, and there are some scares, it's still one of my favorites because of the interaction we get to have with the icons, as well as the nostalgia and the chance to get to know those icons that we never "met" in the past.

Coven suffers from the from the location, other than that I liked it. EM should have been in the alley.
XX years was a graet area, loved it. No Mary sucked. Fear was not very impressive, don't like the colors. He just walked around wouldn't even let you take a picture of him.

Fear used to allow pics. Don't know if he stopped or you just had bad timing since we got ours last weekend. The minions were posing for pics. last night.

I got such a good scare by the hut in The Coven I dodged that SZ all night!

I had to chase Fear down for my friend and I to get a pic. It was really embarrassing because we asked some random guy to take our pic and the poor dude had to follow us around with my camera as we chased Fear

Yeah everytime I tried he just turned and walked away.
I guess some of the guys just think they are special.

Yeah, if they take pics with some, they should take pics with everyone that wants them. Plus, it's better that he interacts with people and stays in character, rather than just be standing there between those XXs, looking like a dumbass.

That was my honest dissapointment with the event. It was a good event but after hyping up Fear to have this presense..he really did not seem to except for him standing between to the XX and large fire shooting above. That was neat and hearing him recite the spiel from the site's fear revealed videos was fun with the minion lantern faces beneath him...but I was expecting more of that rage that we saw in the teaser videos "I WANT MOREE" never happened or anything with that. It was mostly the fact that he was just there, on stilts.

In years past they have projected thing into buildings and I did not see him projected anywhere. Universal 360 balls looping nasty things with FEAR mixed in would of been a nice touch.

I strongly agree on the Fear statement. I honestly think he may one of the most disappointing icons (in person) yet. The build-up for him was amazing but he has very little presence once you actually enter the park. I honestly didn't notice him until my second time through and was shocked to see that he wasn't even in a house or somewhere else in the park.

I feel that icons need some kind of scare/creepy factor and I honestly didn't get that from in-park Fear.

The irony is, he's supposed to be the one manipulating everyone, so powerful, etc. yet he is totally overshadowed by the other icons in the scarezone. Jack NEVER disappoints and I've had great interactions with the others too. They mingling with people, scaring etc. and he just pretty much stands around. The minions are more fun. That sucks that he doesn't do pictures much anymore now either. At least it would be nice to get your pic with the icon if you want it.

I honestly like Fear as an icon. My hope is that this was just his introduction year. Now that he is in the world I think that next year he will get down to business. I have a concept for him that I will post in the house ideas thread when I get time.

Agreed, I think this introduction is just the beginning of FEAR within HHN.

I love the concept of Fear, but there in person he just sucks :shrug:

If he does come back as THE HHN ICON forevermore, or until a newer era of darkness arrives, then I hope they improve him in person (from the costume to the performance/showmanship) and also include him more throughout the event!

I have seen them letting people in 30 minutes before closing on my way out on a non peak night.

might not be new park guests entering, just people who went out into city walk for a bite to eat... but they probably don't mind some of us coming in that late, heck some people went in for only an hour yesterday and went into one house and the scare zones...

Exactly, those are the things that stand out. You remember these guys, pictures help, not the SAs in the houses or zones who stood behind a corner and jumped out at you. You may remember the scare but not the character.
They should do a photo op for $5, have a area where you get a decent pic within a setting. They used to do with Kong and the JP dinosaur. Now all they want to do take your picture at the entrances with a bunch of strangers behind you.

What's funny is that you do have "Jack's Photo Booth" for that 'professional' pic with a setting. That's even more embarrasing for Fear's situation Having a special photo op with Jack and not Fear on HIS year :look:

PS: A pic with Jack by his booth is quite more than $5. I think without any discounts it was $21. It comes with a sturdy plastic frame and all, but still a pretty penny to drop. I think I paid around $17 with AP discount.

The bad news is that I won't be able to do as many houses as usual on Friday. The good news is that it's because I will be doing media Boo Camp and being a scareactor. Not sure what zone, but it should be VERY interesting to see HHN from the other side. Meanwhile we can do our commando-style housing on Thursday and Sunday.

Media Boo Camp? What is that? They get people from different websites and have you go through scaring techniques and actually put you to work?

Dangit I'm starting a theme park website now, too many perks that I want

Yes, I looked up some reports from last year and apparently we get a crash course, make-up and then get to do some real scaring. Hopefully the weather will be good and the crowd will be timid so I can get some great photos and video. I hope we're in Zombiegras because it just seems so classic to stagger around moaning, "Brains! Brains!"

If I had a choice I would be in the CDT or in SnS with a saw.
