Zonkos is diagon alley?

Zonko's is to Hogsmeade as Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes is to Diagon Alley. Therefore the older and lesser, Zonko's, becomes irrelevant and redundant.

So yesterday I was told that Zonkos would be getting the boot very soon. Actually as soon as Feb 1st. Its no secret that Zonkos isn't really the Money making machine it was intended to be, and with other shops doing as much as 3 and 4 times the amount of sales, its no surprise Creative is anxious to replace it with a worthy shop. With that being said I'm going to share two possibilities that I've heard of. Yesterday I mentioned the Daily Prophet but that was an old concept that never took off. Instead it seems Management is keen on bringing more food to Hogsmeade and two options stand out.

Option 1 is that Zonkos will be closed and gutted to make room for a large scale expansion to Honeydukes

Option 2 is that Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop will take over the spot and sell new assorted tea's, drinks, and even the NEW Warm Butterbeer that is currently under development.

Dont know how to feel about warm butterbeer. In any case ill take Option 2 a hundred times over. Although I still think Daily Prophet should happen as well, perhaps in a different locale.

I agree! They need to take advantage of the sea of iconic Potter merch options they could have, from moving pictures, to newspapers with your picture, to a wanted poster from Azkaban, and so much more. Maybe to take over the old Ollivanders down the road?

Well in Germany they have a warm caramel drink, it could be similar to that.

Danke HTF! I love the waffling of concepts and trying to figure out what would sell. I can see Madam Puddifoot's Scottish Breakfast, or Hogwart's Blend or even Dumbledore's Private Blend selling like hot cakes. It will all be in the packaging. Imagine the iced teas of the same blends. They will be dancing and prancing on cash. They have an extra 10'x20' out back to add on with... just using my eye.

Exactly! The taste of pumpkin juice does not agree with me, and yet I'm still looking at an empty bottle of it displayed in my bookcase as I type this...

From a fiscal stand point, Madame PuddleFoot's makes the most sense. More room in a store that already sells enough merchandise as it is will not make more money if the store size is doubled, but if more food options and merchandise are brought in, the more money they will make because if variety. I see there being a $6-$7 price tag per regular cup of warm ButterBeer.

And they might not even lose any revenue in the process. They will probably move the merch to carts and continue to sell that until DA and WWW open.

They could call the romantic dating tea: Harry & Cho's First Date Wet Snog Juice! And it must have a salted rim, you know for that hint of salty Cho tears

According to USA tea association "2012 continued the trend of increased consumer purchases of tea. The industry anticipates strong, continuous growth over the next five years. This growth will come from all segments driven by convenience, interest in the healthy properties of tea, and through the continued discovery and appreciation of unique, flavorful and high-end Specialty Tea."

Would love to see this happen

Over at Teavana, (there tea is great) they have prices that go up to $35 !
