Wild, you are the second person who did or thought something I did in the same day. I watched that video today and almost posted it. A very cool and yet spooky tech... it took me a while to think, "oh, those aren't real eyes".

Why didn't you appreciate the tech Cole?

I'd be very interested to see if Kong ends up with a projection mapped face.

I think there would have been an announcement by now if it was to open in 2015.

Maybe late 2015? I think there's a big possibility by the looks of this fast construction

It absolutely will not open in 2015. It will open in 2016 on a month a very very hopeful Diagon had in mind.

Thanks for this confirmation. I was wondering the same thing about 2015 myself. I guess there is a lot more to do even though it looks like its coming along so fast.

I wonder if the opening date of Avatarland will affect the opening date of Kong/Jurassic? I would think that neither Uni or Disney want the same general opening date.

Also......what is the latest on the ride vehicles? Are they going to be tram style, jeep style or other???

How 'bout Kong's hand? He is jumping and swinging around Skull Island carrying you with him :jaw:

No, but I think it has been mentioned a Jeep setup kinda like the look of Rhino Rally. Not sure if that is definitive or not though.

While my knowledge of this is vague at best, this will not be a free range vehicle... If there is a driver, he/she will not be driving. I believe it will be a system similar to Jaws but that is merely a guess.

I heard it's like jaws meets dinosaur meets the great movie ride. Expect it to be a bit jerky but nothing to fast or rough that a kid wouldn't be allowed to ride. Still no words on a predicted hight restriction?

I had heard it will be a tram-tour type vehicle with a tour guide in the front. Like a smaller version of the Universal Hollywood tram tour, but with only 2 cars. High capacity this way, but not much room for movement or speed. Perhaps they will use shaker tables like Earthquake (Hollywood) in certain scenes to create motion effects; catastrophe canyon style... As far as I've heard though, these vehicles are gonna be big and look as if you're going on a sight-seeing tour.

I don't think the ride vehicle could be that big. My hope is for a confined, jaws like vehicle with a captains seat on front (no way our guide could stand up. Basically a normal ride with a guide

So, a slow-moving boat ride aboard an EMV through the history of the movies.

Yea, should be around the same capacity as the Jaws ride, which was up to 50 persons. That ride had amazing capacity, and I'm hoping Kong will too.

I was saying I heard the style of the vehicle is like a tour tram, just smaller.

OU posted this new picture on Twitter a bit ago. It gives me pause and begs the question, "are they using Jackson's Kong designs?"? It doesn't look familiar does it?

Well, I thought we had decided it will be connected to Skull Island. Skull island won't be using the Jackson aesthetic.
