Yeah, but they're just standard hotels and don't offer much in the way of perks for staying there. And it definitely isn't a resort-style feel like WDW or Uni.

I would like it better if it included all the land up to sand lake road on the eastern side.

Not anything unique about that, I'm talking integrated and unique resorts. How about underwater rooms. Basically your window is an aquarium

Do what parks like Phantasialand and Europa in Europe do and include the tickets with the room. But, these hotels expressly tie into the park, not just a standalone Marriott that sells park packages. If folks plop down big dollar to watch giraffes poop, imagine what these kind of rooms with a hammehead passing by would fetch. The best part is you find a way to dual us the aquariums into the park, strategic reefs would separate the view from each. Just google underwater hotel rooms.

I'd be so afraid of the glass breaking.

That space..looks awfully large for more than a third gate if Universal would by the area.

I'd rather them just wait for the Major Blvd land instead of trying to build on this land that's so far away.

Why is this plot of land even being talked about on here? Its too far from the main resort.

The Westin at the bottom center is definitely not included. That was just recently built. Also, the land up there in the tip is supposed to be a part of a future expansion of the Unicorp I-Drive Live complex. They may not own it yet but they have multiple times expressed interest in getting it for an expansion (it would be an awkwardly small area and remote for Universal to want anyways, referring to the tip part).

It's considerably less distance than even Epcot to the MK.

Just sayin'.

Because it is possibly a mega resort area. 5 or 6 resort hotels. Bus service to both UOR and the convention center and on and on and on. It's all about money and the advertising machine of Universal television and UOR. Money money money. And... fun!

Just realized that if Universal partners with the maglev people when making this new resort area that thing might actually be profitable.

With that space; you could be able to see a 200 Acre theme park; one or two hotels and a massive Transport hub there. Its a lot of possibilities that can go VERY well.

That being said, its good to look at this space; because anything can happen.

That awkward finger could be used for lots of things, backstage service or even an out and back run for a coaster.

It would definitely be great for them to get convention goers, add a bunch of hotels, a new citywalk-type area AND a new park, however, the reason MK to Epcot works is because Disney owns all of that land. If Uni could somehow figure out a transport system and work with the city (for them to pay for it) that doesn't involve buses, that would be great.
