I thought Fallon was scheduled to tape shows at UOR this spring. What happened to that?

Though I hate Soarin, I'm excited for this. It finally gives the New York section of the park something New York related...

Hard to imagine the park originally had a full section with NYC specific attractions: Hitchcock, Ghostbusters, Kongfrontation. Now it's anything but. Hell, even Transformers takes place in Chicago!

Hmm, could they of either changed it to be around the similar time of Skull Islands Media Preview? Or are they pulling it back for early 2017 in when Fallon opens his attraction? That's an interesting question to ponder, I guess..

The reason I asked is because someone posted the actual show tapings dates 3 or 4 months back. As I recall, it wasn't anyone well known on this site. Hmmm.

I know they make a ton of money off of buyouts (and I have no problem with the ones they do in CityWalk), but I feel they rent out parts of the park or the entire parks too often still. Renting out the park I see as a cash grab move so I could understand it back when they were hurting, but now? I think they need to focus more on the customers at hand/on-property first and foremost.

I think they've been adjusting it a lot and fulfilling contracts, the recent early closings have been Gradventure/Grad Bash, where as the OI buy out is after park close at 9pm tonight. Hell, I even saw a lunch buy out of the Groove/Antojitos area of CityWalk this past trip (with Bumblebee none the less!) The parks have been open 8/9am to 9pm pretty frequently with early entry, which is the same as Epcot and usually more than DHS.

Very nit-picky here, but I really wish they would cover up the open building. Looks like :ack:

In a way I agree, but I don't know if it would interfere with what they're doing to the building, so I'm going to give it a pass

Yes, I remember that post. I believe it was erased due to confidential info. I would think that showing was to coincide with Kong being soft opened by now. I would guess the delay changed that schedule, if it was true.

Out of everything you said, this is an extreme nit-pick, but DHS is normally open until at least 9 or 10 now daily with the fireworks.

Yes, every time I look the only park that closes before IOA is animal Kingdom and that will be changing shortly.

The Studios' hours aren't bad. It's IOA that closes so darn early during non peak season. Hopefully, Kong/Hulk will change that a bit. The park's (IOA) so beautiful in the night, but hard to experience it if you don't go during peak seasons.

Like with USF it's more than just "KEEP IT OPEN LONGER!". Mythos, Confisco, and more will need to be open into the evening. They'll need to add entertainment at night. And they should consider a night time show in the park.

Good points. Not many good places to eat after 3 or 4PM. Fortunately Three Broomsticks stays open late. Yes, IOA definitely needs a good night show. And the Cinemagic night show at Studios has really declined from it's original presentation. We saw it opening night and there were so many more effects, especially water screens on the lake (not those on the barges screen's) that are no longer present and lots of laser effects. It seems like every year we've gone they've stripped this show down slowly but surely. I really liked it in it's original incarnation, but now it's only a shadow of what it was. Night shows are what Disney does so much better than Universal. It's not even close. Something like the Hollywood FJ opening night Castle Show would be great. ....On the subject of entertainment. I've always been a critic of the Sinbad Show, but we were pleasantly pleased & surprised when we dragged ourselves in to see the show they updated last summer. It was much better than the previous incarnation. The special effects were very good, the new martial arts they mixed in the show were fun, the story line was better, as were the actor's stunts. All in all very entertaining. And the crowd cheered very loudly for the entire show. People really seemed to enjoy it. we will definitely do this again when we go in the Fall.

Yes, the Cyclops could shoot a bolt of fire out of his single eye. A good companion to Gringott's Dragon, which is fast becoming the icon of theme park icons.

New framing on top of the building? Perhaps the facade will cover the soundstage after all.

Considering that Teebin mentioned that we'd be getting somewhat a version of the Rockefeller Building from New York, it makes sense.
