I heard that this will be the finale, not the whole ride. The prior portions will include brief show scenes that will use (wait for it) screenz, sets and lightning. Still pretty cool.

At the risk of repeating anyone (for which I apologise if I do as Ive been in Turkey for the last 2 weeks where it seems this website is blocked!!!) whats the deal with the BY June 1st opening.

I leave for the UK on May 20th and obviously would absolutely love for this to be open. What makes it more annoying is I booked the flights 2/3 days before all of this was announced...:(

This looks absolutely terrifying from a safety stand point, mainly because my friends are idiots and would not cooperate or coordinate very well. I can see one of them purposely breaking someone off from the chain too.

I don't like anyone enough let alone a group of people to get that close and personal. No thank you.

That would be a perfect effect for VB. It doesn't need maintenance and has minimal upfront cost to get the paint right. Solar powered too!

I haven't seen it in photos but there is one slide that is like pristine white tube. I can't tell if it really is that white - it's so glossy and sleek looking it gives the appearance it's wrapped in some sort of plastic. But it's installed partially so that wouldn't make sense.

Maybe it's a clear tube.

Yes, those slides (2 of them) are wrapped in a protective material of some sort, which would suggest they're clear, or at least translucent for effects purposes.

If it runs through the volcano, they could create something pretty special with a clear tube. It looks like a fast slide though which could ruin any effect.

Maybe the whole inside of the volcano will come to life, just like the tiki room. Together with water, fire, projection mapping and singing easter island statues waking up the demon of a legend from the vulcano ending in a huge climax.

I wouldn't go as far as saying the whole inside but having rooms within is entirely possible. It's difficult to say how much room is open inside as the steel looks like a giant mess currently.

That's not really an effect. I have ridden these slides. They've just painted over the tubes years ago and some of the older paint has chipped away which causes light to pour through in places to give it that 'effect'...it's not intentional.

Although maybe true for some rides, I don't doubt that this effect on this ride is completely intentional.

That looks cheap AF lol. If I get on a slide at VB and this is what I would experience, I would probably leave afterwards.

I think beyond the hype we need to accept that Volcano Bay is just a water park.

When I saw the website and slide info I was like "that's it?"

But after a moment I realized it's decent for a water park. The whole theme park thing is a vast overstatement.
