Sorry, it was the Slimline Princess Phone and it was push button. And they still manufacture them as a novelty!

(screeching metal sound as this thread derails big time)

Sorry, but I have had my nose buried up Kong's a-s-s for so long that I am now sick of it... and I am serious!

We had a party line for the first 7 years of my life (as far back as I can recall is 7-8). We had the rotary phones (9-1-1 calls were no fun if needed) and the wall phone shone above but with a long freakin' cord (10-15 feet long). Those were perfect for when I wanted to hang up on my sisters while they were on the phone with their boyfriends. <giggle, giggle...CLICK> Followed by a mad dash by your's truly out the door to where I could outrun them.

Here or onride?

I don't know about here but every vid I have seen of the ride does not do it justice. 3D just does not translate to a single lens so not really a reason to do it. Still listed as prohibited.

Signs still clearly say No video or photography of any kind. They even announce it in the recorded messages in the final queue room before load.

I definitely agree it's so much better in person it's not even funny. Thank you both for the answer. Looks like we won't see the new stuff for a while unless you get off your butts and go to IOA yourselves lol

Felipe doesn't even come on here any longer. He is a real Potter fan and that must be partially why... that and other understandable things. I miss him on here.

Agreed, I liked his contributions and also miss him.

And I remember rotary and the push button phones that still did the rotary noise lol You had to pay to get the "tone" service. My parents did add it pretty quickly, but we had one phone that the tone part broke so it was on pulse setting. Pretty annoying. My husband and I were talking about how far tech has progressed in our lifetime, pretty crazy. From 20 feet corded phones, to cordless, to cell phones, to having mini-computers as your cell phone.

I never understood the difference between tone and pulse as a kid. My dad used to travel a lot for work and I remember him having a Mobile One analog cell phone when I was kid and if he was more than 20 miles from an interstate, there was no service. It was usually easier to page him and wait for him to call us from a payphone.

I remember every Saturday morning, I'd get up, rewind my Jurassic Park VHS and just watch it.

Remember when the neighbors got the first microwave over and could cook dinner in 90 seconds instead of 90 mins.?

My Mom cooked a Thanksgiving turkey in the microwave. She used food coloring to make it look brown. It was not a good Thanksgiving.

So, rode today and saw the canopy projections. I like that its very understated... you'd not really notice unless you look up. But it adds a touch of realism... even if you're not actually aware, you sort of see it peripherally

*death stare*

Kong was awesome my first go around, with everything working.

The next two times without the motion working in the 360° scene... it was not so awesome.

I wish it had a few more scenes / rooms in the ride part, but overall a great and fun addition! I wanna just hang out in the witch room all day every day.

TORE KONG!

I like that. Reminds me of the scene in Spiderman when Doc Ock says "Looks like things are starting to, heat up". If you look at the real walls on the sides of the screen a red lighting effect lights up the room in sync with the film. It's little touches like that that really sell a 3D effect. Otherwise it would just be like watching a movie. Can't wait to see the canopy effect myself next week!

Wow. I never noticed that. I have noticed sets on the ceiling of the scene where Electro electrocutes Hydro Man though.
