I honestly don't need any more books in the series, personally. Plus I enjoy her detective novels

Removing Dragons Challenge is not her idea in the first place. I believe it'll be replaced with another coaster, and as such, will be up to WB/JKR for approvals.

I truly hope this is true.. This IS IoA after all.... ADVENTURE! Sheesh.. All of you clamoring for more family rides need to remember this is not the mouses house. If calm and boring colorfulness is what you seek it is only a short drive away!

Really? We don't need variety in our attraction lineup and we should just go to Disney? I'm pretty sure going to Disney instead of Universal is exactly what Uni doesn't want people to do, which is they should probably actually invest in more family rides.

Listen.. im not speaking of removing variety.. Seuss Spidey PopEyes Pteranodon Flyers Flight of the Hippogriff and even FJ is "Family Oriented".. Bring in more Family/Kids rides.. but don't lose the Thrill rides.. I think Seuss, Toon Lagoon and Lost Continent have plenty of room to offer for such rides. IoA has always been a teens park sure $$$$ demands offerings to all which i'm all for but don't lose the core focus of the park in doing so.. replacing dragon challenge with a slow moving attraction i think would severely hurt the line up but then again that's just my opinion.

I'm of the camp that thinks if HP helped sell two park access when they added HE, then save any more HP for the third park.

Anyway, I am not up on JKR, but I believe what I read about the TV deal with WB, it mentioned including short stories or something she has done for the online group (potter verse or potter more or something) . So if she has gone back and filled in some more locations of the Wizading world, maybe look to those for something smaller that could round out the IOA area?

Fantastic Beasts is set in a wizarding world 70 years before IOA's themed version of Hogsmeade, in the 1920's. I honestly don't feel they'll throw it in there, not with how perfectly both that area and USF's areas are themed to the time in the Potterverse that they're respectively set.

I'm in the boat of bringing the Fantastic Beasts world to the third park, it doesn't really fit anywhere in the current parks, plus it makes more sense fiscally to spread it out to the third park so people will then have to buy the all new park-to-park-TO-PARK ticket! (plus another --to-water-park for VB!) I'm also for more anything potter, bring it on! Currently re-reading the books for the umpteenth time so I can go straight into the Cursed Child after #7.

Here's a far fetched and unlikely idea, but what if JK Rowling wrote a whole new story just for an attraction. Something that adds to the HP universe and then could only be experienced by visiting the park.

You could argue that this has already happened with Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

FWIW she didn't write the script for Cursed Child. She just helped with the story. She did write the script for Fantastic Beasts, though.

I like what she's doing. It makes the universe feel more varied.

I really don't understand why she decided to go to route she had with the cursed child.

I mean, she has built up one of the biggest fan bases ever, yet this next instalment in the franchise will be inaccessible to so many of those fans. Sure they can read the script but for many wanting to see it they will quite simply have no chance.

I find it all a bit of a kick in the nuts for potter fans the world over, or am I missing the point?

What about a ride through the Triwizard Maze. I'd love to come face to face with a Sphinx.

Give it enough time and I am sure WB will make it into a film. They may have to wait for the remakes though since the trio doesn't seem interested in returning to the series.

Maybe it was a test to see how popular the same story within the Wizarding World is? Seeing that the book/script is the highest selling book since the 7th book, test = successful.

Hold up -- "the" remakes? Are you speculating that there will be remakes soon or is this actually a discussion that's currently happening?

I can see a recast Cursed Child movie, and heck maybe they'll just unload dump trucks of money on the trio's doorsteps?

Rowling has been writing about Wizarding around the world. I think we are going to see a series of trilogies based on the different continents.

Cursed Child was never intended to be a movie. Nor can I see them even thinking about doing remakes for very very very long time.

I think WB will eventually come around to coax Jo into making it into a movie in the next decade TBH.

The main appeal of doing a movie of THE CURSED CHILD would be in seeing as many of the actors return to their roles as possible. Without explicit spoilers, let's just say this prospect is already - or will very shortly be - impossible for several key parts, and the likelihood of Emma Watson (who toyed with not even finishing out the movies) or Daniel Radcliffe (who has been ultra-ambivalent about the idea of ever coming back) returning is very slim.

The plot of THE CURSED CHILD is not strong enough on its own to overcome an entirely new lineup of actors.

Thus why i'll never accept Cursed Child as canon... on top of the fact that it sucks as a pure read.

JK Rowling said she wants the show to travel to "As many places as possible" so it will be touring around the world and on Broadway before long.

I wonder if anything taller than 100ft will be built with DPHS next door. That's why they built that wall around the coaster to block out screams. Not sure I'd be complaining, it would be awesome to watch a football game there and have a giant coaster as your backdrop.

A high school football game is louder than a theme park. Just ask the neighbors.

If I was to bring Fantastic Beasts into the parks, I'd replace Mummy with it. It's set in New York after all. I've always thought of US as being real places and IOA being fantasy.
I have nothing against Mummy but if the future films are a success along with the cinematic universe that Universal are trying to build, it would be better suited as a land along with the the other films in the 3rd park.
