Now this might not mean much to those who didn't read the books, but a dark ride beginning in the house elves kitchen below the great dining hall as they all work preparing a banquet and then ending in the hall with all the food appearing etc. could be visually enchanting.

A ride where we get to join S.P.E.W. sounds fantastic - it was all those kinds of things that made Potter so rich and immersive. We can call it 'Harry Potter and the Forgotten Subplot'...

These ideas could be supportive ideas to a main attraction, but they can't stand by themselves. A ride based in a kitchen or a ride were we join an organization isn't much if a plot. These should be more like olivanders wand kind off attarction. And the house elves could be like a window view with shadows of them cooking under the castle.

Teebin recommended it as a framing device - in other words the starting and ending points of the ride. Truthfully, the simllicity of that could be a great narrative piece. Obviously the meat of the ride would have substantive storytelling but as a narrative experience, the circle story is one of the best and most difficult to pull off. It'd be a pretty cool thing to do in my opinion.

Re Teebin's post - If we were starting in the kitchen we could perhaps leave by using flue powder and travel through a fire place and So visit quite a few destinations as long as they also had fire places. I'd love to pop into the Burrow...that was a great set in the movies....that method would even get us into the ministry of magic .....and back to the great hall. I'd love to see the great hall with the magic ceiling effect...and possibly changeable decorations...halloween ..or Christmas.. or the school cup.

I would be fine without a ride and an awesome interactive experience of exploration.

They're not buying/installing infrastructure for a show that'll run for 2 months.

Announce Halloween stuff after Christmas stuff? Not giving people much time to book vacations in that situation.

But, Halloween may be as simple as adding costumed Death Eaters to the streets. Why build it up if it's a minimal thing that might even be limited to HHN?

I know. I was responding to @Joe saying nightly shows are what they just announced. When they only announced nightly shows for a limited time. I believe @UniversalRBLX was speaking of nightly shows year-round, not simply Christmas time. Which I agree with.

Back to the subject matter- I'm extremely nervous how this is going to be crowd-wise. I am guessing the viewing area from JP bridge and in front of castle simply won't be large enough. This should give them a good idea based on how tolerable/intolerable the crowd capacity is and if they need to either
A) Expand the bridge area
B) Push back Hippogriff
For when they move to nightly shows

In other news: If you ever wanted to walk onto any ride in the park- during the christmas show would be the best time

From Mike's announcement I think anywhere you can see the castle you will have a view of most of the show on it. You could watch it from Sneech Beach if you like.

I can see it now, cupcake party on Broomsticks back patio. Hog's tea for all!

No chance- you'd have to see the bottom windows, etc. it's going to be very limited views to see it all, unfortunately :(

:36 to :47 in the video is all the windows in the castle none of the base like out west so I think there will be lots of places you can have a good view.

I haven't seen anyone suggest this yet but I'm sure there will be multiple showings a night so it allows a wider number of people to see the show. Think along the lines of what MK did with their castle projection show.
