Posted this in the Orlando discussion, so figured I'd add it here as well:

King is very protective of his work. The Shining may be based (loosely) on his novel, but he does not approve of the movie. This is also the only film he has no rights control over. Yesterday's announcement features no mention of King's name, and that's not unintentional.

Now that's not to say future King works can't show up at HHN, but The Shining coming to HHN this year is not the first domino to fall for future dreams.

Why is Hop there too? I don't recall seeing anything related to Hop in the theme park, not even on the Studio Tour. I know Orlando uses it and Hollywood had a cut-out promo for it when it came out.

It's not even in Orlando anymore now that Secret Life of Pets replaced it in the parade. Maybe you're getting our parade float for some reason? This seems accidental.

The Property that they are possibly using as the Replacement is The Thing for us. Orlando is using a Different Ip.

Where was The Conjuring going to be located for Hollywood?
