You guys are missing a lot of points here. JPRA is the highest-capacity ride in IOA (especially important, now that Dragons is gone). It still pulls down respectable wait times, despite being a water ride. And outside a few upgrades here or there, it’s stil in decent shape, and should stick around for years to come.

P-Flyers, on the other hand, needs to go. Camp Jurassic is fine, but the space from the Triceretops Encounter would be better used for a new ride that replaces the coaster. I’d picture some kind of Jeep coaster, or even a Pteranodon-based Vekoma Junior Suspended Coaster (something to set it apart from the two other Vekoma coasters in the resort).

But destroying JPRA isn’t realistic.

Are they really going to build a new coaster this soon? The new Harry Potter one hasn't even opened yet. Plus, they still have to build whatever is going to replace LC (probably Zelda).

Don't get me wrong, I would love to have a new Jurassic Park coaster. I just think it's too soon for that.

Camp Jurassic could be expanded and the coaster could work around it...I would gladly lose the P-Flyers

My only argument for River Adventure leaving is that it takes up a lot of land...And I'm sure it costs a lot to maintain

So, this would potentially open in 2021, right? Is this supposed to be Universal's answer to Disney's 50th?

The other thing to remember is that Jurassic Park river adventure appears near constantly in all of universal studios advertising. They must still consider the splashdown a great selling point right up there with Hulk.

It's the most popular ride photo I've ever seen, apart from Splash Mountain

I was just gonna mention that. I think the most ride photos that are bought are Splash & JPRA. That splashdown is iconic.

Ok rant time.

The "hybrid" name came from RMC's retrofitting of Texas Giant with steel I beam track. They wanted to highlight the unique elements and smoother ride compared to normal wooden coasters (while still offering similar wooden coaster sensations). I hate this because under their definition then mine train coasters being built since the 70s would be "hybrid" coasters and that is not what they are.

Gravity Group, while they use some steel supports with wooden supports, uses wooden laminated track like traditional wooden coasters.

Quite a few individuals have come out about Jurassic Park: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood to reportedly close by the end of the summer, for an extensive overhaul of the attraction of some kind.

It's been something rumored for Orlando every once and a while, and that as far as Creature Tech comes into play, it was rumored by one of the early rumor posters of it that Creature Tech would be involved, due to that the original manufacturer of the Animatronics, is now bankrupt and gone.

Hypothetically, should we expect Jurassic Park to get any changes? Yes, but that I wouldn't be surprised if it's River Adventure that comes into play, and not the implementation of a new attraction.

There's so much rumors in Universal that it's hard to keep my brain intact. Just wait until all of the rumors get confirmed in August ;)

The term "hybrid coaster" is sort of ambiguous these days. You have wooden superstructure/steel track, steel superstructure/wooden track, and some people call Mummy a coaster/dark ride hybrid.

If GG builds a coaster for UOR, it most likely would be steel superstructure/ wooden track.

You know what would be cool? What if a 'raptor could sneak up on people in the queue?

I'm pretty sure Joe Camel is referring the the huge Orlando Informer meetup in the parks, with special after hours for the participants. I'm not sure if they're still taking reservations, but if they are, it's on the Orlando Informer Facebook page.
