To be fair though, people on here have known that it was possible BJ could open for weeks, so there's little surprise or anger for us to have. For many on twitter or facebook, they don't follow rumors as close and a house just appearing out of nowhere when Universal is actively telling you NOT to come bc of crowds? I can understand why *those* particular people would be upset. This is being thrust upon them last second and they don't know that the house will be back next year (in extreme likelihood) like we do, either.
It's quite possible the rumblings about it being open past this weekend, could be true. Maybe they're offering their passholders a respite from the crazy crowds?

On friday I was mulling if I should drive down (from South Carolina), get a cheap room and be hopeful it will open lol. I took those chances, got to the park and it was at CAPACITY! To make a long story short. . . I still managed to get in and I am forever greatful to UO and their amazing staff. One thing that bugged the hell out of me, seeing the same group of people go in back to back to back. I understand they are allowed but when you know it's a limited capacity why be that greedy?

Not sure if this is where this statement would go, but I feel like Universal missed an opportunity last night(maybe they'll do it tonight?). I was hoping they might do something similar to 2009 in Sting Alley, where they provide a little preview to next year on the final night. Heck, even as the park is closing, have Jack or the Icons hijack the speaker system and say they're looking forward to next year and then say HHN FOREVER? Just something as a closing statement and easter egg for fun.

Even last year they had a tombstone that said “beetlejuice lives” on the last night

The fact that the canceled the event but then turned around and did, what I think, something that will change the course of the event from time to come (allowed costumes, trick or treating for the kids, the pumpkin hunt, cafe la bamba) is more than enough I feel. In fact they did throw a surprise. . . beetlejuice! I feel next year they will have more daytime centric things to do for families to enjoy with their kids but year, i'll take beetlejuice over what they did in sting alley any day.
