Universal's Epic Universe Wish List & Speculation

It will be interesting to see what the viewing figures are like.

In quite possibly the most fascinating piece of information for Epic Universe--as discovered and reported by @Alicia, the second Potter attraction was to be an VR attraction, expanding the potential of a system once tapped at Lionsgate Entertainment World in China; as riders may be going on broomsticks and flying.

If Warners is excited to see their rides why don't they toss some money Universal's way so this park gets started.
Considering how often they get to update their merchandise/royalties terms in their contract with Universal, they have other means to push their hand.

You know how we consider the Marvel contract gives Universal all the cards?... Imagine Warner's Potter contract with Universal as the exact opposite.

While, as always, I really appreciate @Alicia 's reporting... I'd be lying if I said that attraction concept interested me in any way. VR (not AR) just feels cheap to me, like an excuse to do as little physical design work as possible, and not befitting a world-class theme park.

I'm also surprised they'd opt for a flying attraction for Wizarding World III, rather than for HTTYD.

Keep in mind though, that this would be the secondary attraction for the land. The Smugglers Run to Galaxy’s Edge’s Rise of the Resistance if you will.

I'm just wondering what VR sets will be used. All of the wireless headsets tend to be blurry and/or low res, and the wired ones aren't perfect either. And now you have to worry about disease precautions.

This seems like it should have been a third ride, not one of two. The special drop tower concept should have been used instead.

I'd assume they'd go for something close to the Valve Index, especially when you consider the level of control that headset has compared to the HTC Vive, if this plan goes forward.

Idk, I think AR/VR, while drastically different, are going to have to be implemented at a high level (aka Disney or Universal) at some point, and this give us the closest thing to reality Imo for a realistic flying broom attraction, and same with MK for Augmented reality, it makes sense to me if the technology works the way it seems.

Im not like, 100% sold, but boy am I just beyond intrigued.

Understood, but I think it would then be putting an enormous amount of pressure on the primary attraction to be absolutely spectacular.
