Say what you will about the land, negative, positive, whatever you feel

This land will always be remembered for the breakthrough of quality AR and over the top interactivity

Like it or not, the bar has been adjusted higher once again
Honestly this is the level of interactivity that we should have seen at SWGE IMO. I also hope that if there is a WW land at EU, that it ups the interactivity to this level.

Between the wait times, dining, MK being super re-rideable, all the interactivity, not hard to spend a legit entire day in this area. Espeically once DK opens up.

I think we get a better idea at the AR thru those binoculars as well, they really showed off so much better how naturally the animation blends in with the land itself, gets me so much more pumped for Mario Kart!!!

I like the data pad stuff in SWGE. I’ve defended it in the past. But this is just far and away more impressive
Oh yeah, it's definitely cool in its own right

But being the only interactive thing, I'm not sure it stands on its own

I mean they don't even have droids lol

Literally just paint a trash can and put it on wheels

I really don’t wanna make this a SWGE vs SNW cause I’ve not experienced either, but all I can say is as a super fan of both franchises it doesn’t take much for me to “get the feels”, warching the SNW stuff has been FUN, yes it’s Covid times but I felt that way watching a Hagrid POV too, I’m pretty simple and easy to please.

SWGE outside of Rise I just felt disappointed by. I hope that’s not the case by the time I visit, but they don’t even seem to be of comparison in terms of sheer quality, maybe it’s a Nintendo fan speaking but it’s just so well done it’s stupid. The direct collaboration with Nintendo helps, idk if Imagineering does the same with the writers/creators of their large IPs, wouldn’t hurt

If SWGE didn't have Rise it would be very very disappointing

If SNW didn't have MK it would still be very very great

And that's all I'll say about that lol

So, the more I watch of the interactivity of the land, the more it's obvious why the main ride is MK and not a Super Mario Bros attraction.

The land IS the Super Mario Bros attraction. No ride would be able to simulate being Mario as well as running around different levels, hitting blocks, completing challenges, finding secrets, fighting a boss, and raising the Mario flag at the end.

#WeAreMARIO

I mean for GE...I would have been fine with no games...IF we got Droids, bounty hunters, ships at night in the air, the stunt shows above the land and the ride that would have been like a PM and added life to the land.

GE didn't need to be a video game but life would have been nice...since that was what was promised to feel like im really there..i know the details are great..but you are suppose to feel like its a living world not just shops and rides.

Yep, exactly. The land and app are putting us literally inside the video game, I love that they made the entire land a part of a, or the, game. Very creative and what it should be but that’s way easier said than done.

I think GE would have benefitted a lot from having "games" like SNW that were "Jedi Trials", with caves to explore and things like that, along with the datapad stuff.

Sure...but its Disney I doubt they would let you do thst for cheap.

So while yes, I'd like it i don't trust them not to try to make it 60+ bucks extra.

The Nintendobands are a little pricey if im honest, im mean for APs its a deal but for one time trip 30 bucks plus a ticket? Come on they could give you a 5 cent little thing that activates the games and the bands are if you want to keep score and come back

NOICE! They really have thought of everything!

Man even with one ride this is going to be almost a full day land at Hollywood!
My first visit to USH will be for this, and I’m basically just doing SNW, Pets, Studio Tour, and JP all day haha

I mean...welcome to theme parks

The bar has been adjusted higher for lands where interactivity is a major selling point inherent to the chosen theme.

I don't think every big land going forward needs to have anywhere close to this level of interactivity, though. Nintendo's the perfect vehicle for creating live games you can spend hours participating in, other IPs may not be.
