Another huge thing is the spec map pretty much stopped speculation. Until something pops up that leads us to believe one of those maze isn't accurate, I see this board being a ghost land until closer to the event. It often would happen like a week or so before the event when everything has been officially announced, but we're in this weird area where it's still super early, we know too much, but the event is too far away to be excited.

I think if anything, the construction thread should be a good place to see action. There still is a certain gap in Legacy's clues (being that of clue 8), but I do fully agree that the spec map has somewhat put the breaks on things. Atleast for Hollywood, outside of what ifs on the scarezones and Terror Tram.

Well people seem to be sure nope was a red herring

Pretty much. Legacy's given what he feels are all the clues for Hollywood, and with word that there won't be any official announcements for HHN until May, it's gonna' be quiet on the speculation front and there's nothing wrong with that. Now if the speculation maps get an update, then things will pick back up, but for now it's a wait and see.

I think it's Abel's openness and ability to talk about it, that gives me a high level of optimism for the mazes. I really wanna know how involved he is, if it's going to be as deep in involvement as his upcoming HBO show, The Idol.

Why is everyone assuming he broke some NDA or exposing the event? I am sure it's only a hand full of us that know what he referencing and that won't stop any bug release to his FAN BASE.

Yeah agreed to be honest i don’t think people care or are reading too much into it other than HHN superfans.

Huge artists like The Weeknd know that they need to keep this stuff airtight. He’s been doing this too long to knowingly violate an NDA.

I won’t pretend to know exactly how the contracts work for an event like HHN, but if anything, I’d guess the NDA is moreso for them than the talent, especially if he’s supplying much of the creative input.

Slash doing Mummy makes sense. Continues the trend set since 2018.

I do wonder if the potential scarecrow maze has an original artist involved too for music.
Probably figure if I had to guess but considering murdy was researching folk music and bluegrass stuff I think that might be for scarecrow specifically

Soundtrack recording this early is interesting.
Is the event starting in freakin August this year or something and we just don't know? This the beginning of a year round haunt? bahaha

I wouldn't read too much into that. Slash just finished a tour and is going back out with GNR starting in May, so this is probably his only opportunity to do it.

Just saw the picture of the facade going up in Parisian Courtyard.

La Llorona is definitely coming back after a decade of absence. So far that spec map is looking pretty good. I will say that the facade looks a little smaller than I remembered it being.

I think it could lie towards the forced perspective Shrek had as a benefit for the facade, but I'm genuinely happy that a new generation of HHN fans get to experience La Llorona. I wonder if they'll bring back the Day of the Dead party in the Plaza from last year. Feel that'd make a lot of sense.

I would be shocked if they didn't do that again. It makes way too much sense.

I'm not too bothered about La Llorona returning as it's been a decade. That leaves a whole generation of HHN fans who haven't seen it. I don't think it will be as good as 2011's, but I really hope they will include some unique elements to make up for that. There's not going to be any room for that epic river scene so it would be nice to replace it with something unique or different.
