So will there be a year-round scarezone in this Monsters-themed land if I'm not mistaken?

I'm sure there will be monsters walking around the land, but I seriously doubt the land will be dripping with such ambiance as to turn people/families away from coming into it, let alone be home to anything even remotely resembling an HHN-esque scare zone. Spooky, sure, but not outright scary.

I wonder how much changed on the monsters land plans after The Mummy flop? Clearly this would have been a "Dark Universe" land and themed to match the movies. A shift to Classic Monsters is the obvious change, but I wonder if it had bigger changes in layout or ride composition.

The 2018 Monsters reimagining maze in Universal Hollywood was originally going to be Dark Universe-branded, and early internal memos described it as a collaboration with Universal Pictures/Team Dark Universe. So... yes, I think it's fair to assume the Dark Universe initiative helped get the ball rolling, and they pivoted once they realized Classic Monsters merchandise is actually a viable brand (with or without a shared universe of films).

I don't know how anyone who works for Universal cannot believe Classic Monsters would not be a draw. It still works after all these years, just give us tomorrow's tech to experience it in.

From the construction photos it looks like Monsters is at least getting a nice "tunnel" entrance. Epic Universe's design of separate lands with only one way in or out is making a lot of sense when it comes to immersion.
thats the moat and not the entrance

See I feel this is Creature Ride. Has to be this or final plans for Potter.

It's unclear whether this In addition to what's already rumored, or confirmation of something already rumored.

See I feel this is Creature Ride. Has to be this or final plans for Potter.

Were we expecting a "huge industry game changer" from the Creature ride, though?

Doubt its Potter....nothing potteresque rumored so far has been a game changer just continued evolutions of systems used before....and the last game changing boat ride was Pirates of the Carribean...i'm putting my money on monsters with creatures ride or the ride that replaced the stage show in monsters

As incredible a land as CMs could be, I’d prefer for the best rides in the (eventual) to not all be in one area.

If by some grace of God, Splatoon 3 does extremely well, I hope Universal decides to build an indoor interactive dueling coaster with cars capable to spin as they get hit that uses projection mapping technology to paint the space in a competitive manner for the nintendo expansion...no longer just a simple shooting attraction...a shooting coaster

All I know is, if we aren't getting Potter VR, they have a lot of space on that side of the Wizarding World still in play.

Their post doesn't make mention of a new "land," just a ride.

In any case, figured I would share. At very least, to spark some conversation.
