Wow! No wonder every media place is advertising this as a park and confusing everyone. This is going to be pretty funny when hundreds come to uni and ask where is the third theme park haha!

I can only imagine someone will be at Uni Hollywood wondering where Hogwarts is.

They'll be dumbfounded and go, "But they said Harry Potter was at Universal STUDIOS, right?!!?"

And an associate will go, "Yeah.....in ORLANDO."

Finally, the person will say, "SONOFA....Honey, get the kids, we're going to Florida!!!"

My 2 kids (9 & 14) are coming down from WV June 11th- 19th. I haven't seen them since Oct. And I am seriously hopeing that the reported exclusive access for package purchasers is just from misinformed reservations operators. They are now saying that those who bought the packages are going to get what was promised in the package. And it only mentions early access, not all day exclusive access.

Someone posted on the UO facebook page that they heard back from customer services who said that those without the package who are staying on-site will still be allowed access before the grand opening. Hopefully will also be open to those not staying on-site since they seem to keep changing their minds.

Would Universal execs not want to open WWoHP for Easter, it is one of the most busiest times, especailly for Brits visiting Orlando, even if you would only be able to walk through. I am taking my 2 daughters and mum and dad, it will be my dads last visit as he hasnt been in the best of health the last couple of years, so really praying he will at least get to wander Hogsmeade

It's not really a case of whether they want to or not, it's whether they can as. I'm sure you know rides have to be tested many many times before they can be rode by the GP.....

Plus they may not of waorked out all of the kinks in Olivender's, Owl Post, The Owlery etc. They would not open a land if hardly anything is available.......

For those of you who may have contacted guest services concerning a soft open date, I fear your time may have been wasted. I know it seems like everything that they say is gold because they work for Universal, but you should still take the things they tell you with a grain of salt. They have not always been a trustworthy source of information in the past, and I imagine that with something this big fixing to open, there will be plenty of opportunities for them to get their info mixed up. The only real way to know when softs are going to happen will be walking up and seeing that big gate open.

Like I said in the previous thread, once you guys hear of TM's getting there previews of the WWoHP you will then see softs occuring shortly after the TM's for the general public.

So I don't know if this has just been answered or not, but the whole situation is confusing me. If I haven't bought a package, and I'm not staying onsite, would I be allowed into WWoHP during softs? I cannot afford either options at the moment, but would still love to visit hogsmeade. Of it's any consultation, I know I'm going to spend AT LEAST $50 on merchandise, whether it be a wand or something at zonkos. I'll eat three meals at three broomsticks too, just let me in!

Soft openings are open to the public. As long as you have purchased a ticket you are allowed admission to WWoHP.(Granted that its open.)

From MuggleNet

A few more details have emerged online today about the Wizarding World theme park, courtesy of Newsday. The article provides some new insight into the Dragon Challenge ride:

"Riders will see in the distance the Weasleys' car that was spat from the Whomping Willow on the edge of the Forbidden Forest, and the Champions' tent where Hermione sneaked in to see Harry. You'll pass the Goblet of Fire, with its blue flame, and head down a corridor that holds the Triwizard Cup trophy that says, 'Eternal Glory Is Theirs,' and several of the golden eggs in a trophy cabinet. Dragons will fly above in shadow, fighting and bucking."

You'll also get entertained by champions from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang and have the opportunity to choose to ride the Chinese Fireball or the Hungarian Horntail.

To read all about Zonko's, Honeydukes, The Owlery, The Three Broomsticks and The Hogshead, click "read more" below.

Additionally, storefronts will make Potter fans feel right at home. Zonko's will have a student vomiting into a cauldron from a Puking Pastille, Honeydukes has a chocolate frog jumping out of its box and leaping around the storefront window, and the Owlery will feature a Howler.

In The Three Broomsticks:

"Pots and pans float magically through a galley where dishes are washing and stacking themselves in a cupboard. Diners will hear butter beer mugs clinking. 'It's clear the inn above is alive with patrons and servants and maids,' Daurio says; guests will see and hear them and house elves moving in shadow through the loftlike upper hallways. Owls will fly to the windows to deliver post.

The Three Broomsticks will serve British fare such as fish and chips, shepherd's pie and Cornish pasties, which are little half-moon meat pies. If you have four or more in your party, you can order the 'The Great Feast,' a communal meal meant to mirror the feasts at Hogwarts served on a big tray. To drink? Pumpkin juice."

The Hogshead will have a much different feel from the The Three Broomsticks and serve an alcoholic beverage called Hogshead Brew, a Scottish amber ale.

I remeber reading this in the travel section of my newspaper this morning. All the stuff they stated was real or not real. They talked about how it was going to be 20 acres and all the other details that we have already found out to be untrue.

To reiterate: The guest service people on the phone are quoting exactly what the company has told them to tell guests who call and ask about WW. It opens publicly on June 18. They cannot tell you when soft openings will be. Guests with a booked HP package between May 28 and June 18 will be guaranteed some kind of experience and those who do not have a package booked have no such guarantee. I will add to that, based on 30+ years of experience working in the parks, that if it is at all possible to keep WW open for those without packages during that time, they will do so. If they can get it soft opened in early to mid April as they are hoping to do, it will have been tested enough that they can run it with confidence, however there will probably be media and private events booked in that time that may close it to the public. They will work around those events for those who specifically purchased a package.

And no, I am not in violation of any NDA for saying that.
