Maybe don't try to force and rush a MCU type deal.

There's too many conflicting reports for me to buy into it. The movie just needs to release already to end this madness

Latino Review is reporting WB isn't concerned with the quality, they're concerned it'll be as polarizing as MOS was

If it's "like MOS", they should probably worry about the quality.:p

Well I'll be seeing this a few days early and actually plan to launch my film review blog with it. I'll post on here a spoiler-free and spoiler-full review the night of the 22nd.

Despite looking like a bad film to most people, the film according to distributors have already out paced Avengers 2 & Dark Knight Rises as well.

Uh what? In terms of advanced ticket sales or...? It's pacing to hit $150 million opening weekend, which is great, but less than both of those films (unadjusted for inflation).

Certainly it is, but every year we see this. Avengers and TDKR and Catching Fire all had around $1m in presales. The fact the Avengers did $200 million and the other two did $160 million speaks to the fact that $1m presales was the limit in 2012. Many cinemas today have reserved seating (all three in my area offer it). It's gotten to the point that you MUST buy advanced tickets to sit with your peers. The official prediction is $150 million. I'll wager it comes in around $170. But it won't top Avengers 1 or 2.

My guess is 160-ish

I'm going with 180. Because it's Easter weekend day to day holds work differently.

That might actually work against it as church will cut into some viewings.

I'd say even then, it wouldn't harm it that much.

If anything, I am betting on the weekend worldwide being around the 500 million mark (domestic and international included).

I'm not so sure. It's tracking to around $300-350 this weekend. I think $500 is a little high. I think if it over-performs you're looking at $400-420.

Btw, about 6 hours til showtime. I'll post a brief review around 11 my time. 2 full reviews tomorrow.

Up to 41% on Rotten Tomatoes and 49 on Metacritic, improving at least. Reviews will be on par with MOS.
