I sure hope this is a B&M hyper. That's what Florida is missing imo. This definetley could be cheetah themed seeing the color. But what about Cheetah Chase???

Sorry to take away the fun, but as much as I want to believe it, this post here says it's a trick.

From Spoon at ThemeParkReview:

Sorry to ruin anyone's fun, but that's just a poorly done photoshop.

a.) The colors are horribly edited, it just screams "Photoshop!"
b.) Wasn't taken with a cell phone, exif data says Canon Powershot.
c.) Photo was taken September 28th, 2008.
d.) This is the original photo:

Thanks for the confirmation, StarTrekGeek. Another issue with the photo, the Renaissance hotel at Seaworld is visible in the background.

Hey everyone, this news from Screamscape will make you feel better.

2011/2012 - New Attractions - Rumor - (4/2/10) Okay, I’m fessing up… that Gold B&M track photo added yesterday was just an April Fool’s joke. It was actually a picture of Manta track, repainted by our friend JohnnyUpsideDown. Thanks Johnny!
As for the real project... according to a fairly good source the new coaster in development will be from Intamin and feature not one… not two, but THREE launches. As we’ve heard before… SPEED is the overall theme concept pushing this ride.

Three launches?! That makes up for the BS April Fool's joke. This ride sounds like it has serious potential.

Sounds like it will be about a Cheetah then if they have a Cheetah topiary and it focuses on speed.

It doesn't make sense for them to theme it after a Cheetah IMO. I understand there is a new topiary but they already have Cheetah Chase. Another cheetah ride would be overkill IMO.

They're probably going to retheme Cheetah Chase, if the coaster has a cheetah theme.

I guess that would work. It just seems like it would be a lot less work to theme it something different. Either way, I'm glad to see a new coaster heading to my local park.

More pink markers have appeared leading to the Edge of Africa near the lion and crocodile habitats. There's also a concept map.

^Agreed, If you look at the history of Busch's rides Kumba, Montu, Gwazi, and Sheikra it does not make sense to have a ride based off a present day animal you can see in the park or your local zoo. I think the cheetah topiary is a unique way of foreshadowing a ride built around low to the ground speed and fast acceleration. I have been trying to look up ancient, mythological, or fictional animals with an African back round but nothing yet.

The Swahili word for cheetah is "duma". Maybe that'll be the name of the new coaster.

The name "Duma" should be interesting, that's for sure.

Montu and Gwazi are legends, but Kumba means roar and Sheikra is a type of bird. Scorpion is a... scorpion, Cheetah Chase is a cheetah, and Air Grover is a... uh...

But it would be strange if it were a cheetah, Cheetah chase could be renamed then.

@mantaguy: Duma sounds interesting, kinda sounds like dumb though.

I like the name Duma. And I think it's ok to have two Cheeta attractions. Cheeta Chase is a kiddie coaster, and "Duma" would be a full-on roller coaster :)
