Talked to an employee yesterday and I asked him about Despicable Me and he said he used to work at neutron . I asked him when it might open he said the grand opening may be May 22 or June 22 I have an ear infection so I didn't hear him clear but when I talked to the friend I was with he said June 22 what he's heard.

I doubt it will be June 22nd unless it is not ready at all inside which I also doubt. I reckon it will be around memorial weekend, so I guess may 22 is more likely. As they have the walls down, the wait clock along with height guidelines already.

Ok so some more info....

A new per show room has been created... So there are 2 preshows, you into the new preshow then you move into the old preshow then you go onto the ride, then you exit into a new post show room which then dumps into the gift shop.

When the suits were at the despicable me test they were not able to ride it due to the oil leak/spill thing that happened but they have a minion recruitment video playing in the queue now and in the gift shop you could hear them test the first preshow room.

It appears by the layout of the railings that patrons should not be on that side. The last railing you see in the picture separates the "living room" from the queue. Also, I believe the line closest to the room is for Universal Express.

I think we all know that railings don't really start people. I think the comment was more about the extremely light color of the wallpaper, which will easily show any markings more distinctly than other colors. Plus the fact that it's "indoors" will make it look even worse.

Is this in response to the wallpaper color? lol. I don't think anybody was harping on Universal so much as saying it's a shame it looks so good because we know that special kind of idiot is going to mess it up.

Just saying that with the improvements to show standards regardless of color or texture they might be able to keep up with it and fix it if that special idiot tears it up on a consistent basis.
