I gotta say, I really like that ride vehicle. And apparently, there will be another style of car and 3 other colors, which is even cooler.

According to Screamscape, Disney has been doing some late night joy rides. Cars have been seen racing around the track at full speed on several occasions. Screamscape also reports that the sets are being set up and that final programming should begin soon. If this is true, the ride will be done VERY early as this isn't set to open until June or later (that's 7 months away).

Just noticed these photos from the end of September have never been posted on here, so enjoy!

Yeah those cones have been up for MONTHS and still have no skin. Looks like they are making sure the extremely expensive RSS is in tip top shape before completely shifting their focus.

Hopefully none of the AAs break and need to be removed then.

I was just talking about how the sculpting walkways leave the entire exterior sculpture viewable while it is being created. EE had few corrections if any after they cut the beams off. Hogwarts cliffs on the other hand... what a scaffolding fail that was... had to have added 100K - 300K to someones bottom line.

Well, when I got down there on Friday night, the entire range was indeed lit up. We went straight to Disneyland, however, and both Saturday and Sunday nights the range was dark. I missed my shot!

Anyways, Disney just posted these videos of Luigi's Flying Tires and Mater's Junkyard Jamboree. I'm guessing that the extra money that went into RSS's bloated (to put it mildly) budget ended up detracting from Mater's ride. This was being billed as an "outdoor dark ride" with tons of extra elements. Now it simply looks like a scrambler that doesn't... scramble? I know the ride's not done, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of extra space for surprising elements. We shall see.
