Not much of an attendance jump though. I think it was along the lines of 4%.

That doesn't surprise me. It's not really a new ride.

Yeah, but they kind of marketed like it was. There were some comments over on Inside Universal alluding to Universal was disappointed in the numbers, expecting more. Actually, if that's factual (and we never know for sure), that would be good since it might prompt Universal to plus Orlando's version more.

Maybe. I just don't think anyone should be getting their hopes up. There's rarely major changes once construction actually begins.

I agree. But I would think the changes were made before construction started. I think we already know there were some building modifications from the original plan to deal with a vehicle turn issue.

So here's a quick rundown on how I think this ride is going to go (Fron the two extra scenes being added to USH's)

Scene 1 will be the vehicle driving through SF streets. Here we'll get the transmission that Shaw is after is and we'll turn into the garage.

Scene 2 will be the garage just like Hollywood's where Roman will flirt with the women in the third row (ugh).

Scene 3 will be the party scene.

Scene 4 will be the 360 room.

Scene 5 will be driving through the aftermath of the finals before being unloaded.

Sounds boring but that's how I think it will go unfortunately

That sounds pretty likely, I hope the queue for this is pretty cool otherwise this attraction will be a total bust

Teebin said the queue will occupy a large segment of the building. This could be a highlight, probably with cars represented in the movies, as portrayed in the artwork for the attraction.

I honestly could care less about cars used in the movies so I hope the queue is more than that. Even most tourists won't care much. They'll look and think it's cool, but that'll be a few seconds out of a long wait for the ride and then people will just go back to their conversations or more likely looking at their phone.

My big gripe is them using so much area for the queue, and a queue that sounds really boring.

If we want to see cars we can just stay in the parking lot :)

I still think the Party Scene will be a preshow room, but who knows.

I have absolutely zero interest in this franchise. My best friend in Highschool was crazy about F&F, he always drove way too fast/ tried to race people. He ended up dying in a car wreck in which he was speeding. Obviously I'm not blaming the movie for his poor decisions, I never really liked the movies to begin with...

I DO like theme park rides, however :)

I rode USH version last month, and I didn't think it was as completely horrible as people make it (the party scene dialog was horrible, but I enjoyed the 360). It was fine for me considering it was just a portion of the Studio Tour but for the stand alone ride, the 360 scene HAS to be longer. There's no other way around it. I seriously hope they either filmed extra footage that we haven't seen yet, or add more than one 360 scene because if not, I can see the backlash being fierce.

I know I've been a huge critic of the ride, but I think a lot of that will be in the pre-show...I do expect some cool "street sets"

I'm thinking they'll do what they did with Kong. Maybe a couple of set scenes, two or three more screen scenes in addition to 360 screen, and end up with a 5 to 6 minute attraction, not counting queue pre shows.

I have a feeling the screen debate is going to come to a head with everyone (GP, Fans, and all) if it's going to be what's rumored. It's gonna get real interesting...

Oh, I agree. Especially since I'm guessing F&F as Kong II....Best thing Universal could do to stop that whole debate, would be to fast track SLOP for Orlando. SLOP, from what I've seen, would quiet the screen debate for a few years.

This is one attraction I will just walk by and never attempt riding. The franchise leaves me COLD. And yet, I understand that it will be very popular as I have seen the men and boys ogling the cars when they have been on display in the past.
